WE’RE gonna win the league, aren’t we?

Here are the ratings:

Loris Karius: 6

Had, literally, nothing to do bar pick the ball out the net, so hard to judge.

Everyone seemed a little more relaxed, though, and he’s gorgeous.

Nathaniel Clyne: 7

Defended well and ran up and down the line exceptionally.

Possibly our best full-back in 20 years.

Joel Matip: 8

Smooth, just like the silk, soft and cuddly hug me up like a quilt, I’m a lyrical lover, no take me for no filth.

She call me Mr Joel Matip,

Say me fantastic, touch me on the back,

She says I’m Mr. Jo…

Matip, say me fantastic,

Touch me on the back, she says I’m Mr. Jo.

Ragnar Klavan: 6

Made a bollocks of a back pass, had little else to do. Steady Eddie, otherwise, and proving a most astute acquisition.

James Milner: 8

He probably won’t like it, but if he carries on he’s going to be a shoo-in for the next England left-back.

Jordan Henderson: 9

Another positive performance from the Liverpool captain. Had a chat with Gibbo after the game and he was saying that the ‘who should be Liverpool Captain’ chat has died down, which is possibly the biggest compliment you could pay him.

Gini Wijnaldum: 8

Got a bit of stick for his rating in his last game so watched intently today. The only thing I could say is that he reminded me of a Barcelona era Edgar Davids, picking and passing and picking and passing.

Soz everyone, you’re right and I was wrong.

Adam Lallana: 9

Ridiculous how much he’s come on, proved it again today. Looks like the boss has spotted his biggest strength is his awareness.

Great first goal, whether he meant it or not, his arl fella is adamant he did, saw it again and still not sure, but if he did assume that this is an 11 instead of nine.

Sadio Mane: 9

A constant threat. Must be absolutely terrifying to play against because he can operate in the smallest spaces.

What a signing.

Roberto Firmino: 8

Another one who looks like he’s showing more and more every week.

Strength, touch, awareness — hard not to be getting carried away. But was really, really good again today.

Philippe Coutinho: 9

Loathe to overdo Phil, because I think he could be better most of the time and gets frustrated too easily, but he was brilliant today. All the bonus points but got stuck in, made the right passes and was a level above anything Hull had to offer.

Could be a worldie, this lad.

SUBS

Daniel Sturridge (on for Lallana 69′): 7

Lovely feet to win the penalty. Obviously wanted to take it, but didn’t make a big deal of it. Bit quiet after that, but his mates had probably swerved it.

Marko Grujic (on for Henderson 74′): 5

Couldn’t quite get to grips with it, but will benefit from his first league run-out.

Emre Can (on for Coutinho 74′):

Fair play for coming on and just barging into people.
