What We’ve Learned from Chelsea, Burnley, and Norwich
The panel talks expectations for the reds and how this seasons squad is shaping up. There haven’t been too many additions this transfer window, so all the pieces are in place for Jurgen’s reds until January.
The Positives for Liverpool
We chat the return of the reds defense, Robertson and Trent Alexander Arnold back from recent injury. Joel Matip and Virgil Van Dijk are back fit after long term spells on the sideline. Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsmikas offering much needed cover.
Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker’s form have been excellent, and our free scoring front 3 could easily turn into another Fab Four.
Harvey Elliott emerging as a reliable talent for Jurgen Klopp. Keita finally showing the form that proves why we signed him.
The Negatives:
No late additions at the end of the transfer window. Gutmann so gutted he couldn’t do the Gutter. Say that three times fast. Niggly injuries to Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Takumi Minamino, and now Harvey Elliott. How will our squad depth effect the team this season.
Champions League & League Cup draws could’ve been kinder. Chelsea felt like a missed opportunity, there was a feeling in the ground that the reds could have gone on to win the game.
Is Sadio Mane’s form becoming an issue? What happened to the best player in the world who’s won us the Premier League? Is he stuck in his own head?
