WE are really excited to announce today we are partnering with Statsbomb to add to The Anfield Wrap’s coverage of The Reds.
Statsbomb are one of the most exciting and innovative statistical companies covering Europe’s top leagues and competitions. They want to find ways to make analytics more accessible while simultaneously adding to people’s enjoyment of the game in all its facets and we are delighted to be joining them in that.
We’ve long been wrestling with adding greater analytical insight into our offering — we want to bring our audience with us on this journey as we do on all our others and we believe they are best served to help us do that. We are also excited by the depth of their platform. It is an incredible resource.
The Anfield Wrap prides itself on innovating different ways and means of telling the story of supporting Liverpool, and on innovating different ways to talk about the game. This offers us a new and significant challenge — how to take a supporter base already focused on every aspect of Liverpool Football Club and use their knowledge as a jumping off point to use a platform like Statsbomb. We’re confident we can do that.
The platform offers us greater knowledge of Liverpool’s potential transfer targets, future opponents and playing styles across the leagues. It will only help us and hopefully only add more for our subscribers. We will be using it as a reference on audio shows, citing it in our writing, building a regular video stats show and across our social media offering too.
We’re excited and we think you should be as well. TAW and Statsbomb, looking to cook up all sorts. Let’s see where we end up.
