More rain than chances a Goodison Park on Saturday, but Liverpool get a decent draw in the circumstances in a damp squib of a derby, in more ways than one.
But Neil Atkinson, alongside John Gibbons, Philippa Smallwood and Stu Wright go searching for talking points and positives. We discuss which of the fringe players made a case for further use between now and the end of the season, and what to do with Danny Ings and Dom Solanke.
We also analyse the Manchester Derby with an eye on what it might mean for the Champions League quarter final on Tuesday. Will Manchester City have lost confidence or be determined to make amends at the Etihad?

You guys are too worried about the City game.
The Reds need to earn their right to play at the Etihad. United showed a lot of character on Saturday and their players came off the pitch as heroes. That is what is needed from our side as well.
Our away record at top grounds has been abysmal this season but the 2nd half at United showed encouraging signs that we didnt want to surrender to the defeat, like we did earlier at Spurs, City and Sevilla to an extent.
The players need to deliver if they want to go to the semis and if we are there, then the task becomes even more difficult.
Personally, I am overjoyed that we get to witness the Reds play CL quarters again. it’s been a long time .
And this wont be the last time we will reach the quarters under this manager. Still not Klopp’s finished article but on the brink of CL semis. That’s bonkers.
May thebest team win. I back the Reds to do it. But if City should go through, then I gotta hold my hands up because that would mean we witnessed a helluva comeback from the Cityzens.
Whoever goes thorugh will have earned it.
I’m imagining the look on Big Virg’s face if he heard John and Stu’s predictions.
by the sounds of it panel none of yous are having ingredients and Solanki. I think big Dom is being asked to be a nuisance when he comes on as he doesn’t generally play like a big centre forward. poor wee danny has had a rotten luck and needs a goal
big sam was right in his tactics watching palace approach. all the misses fuckin hell.
the Belgian will go, the german will stay and we need another keeper. pending brasils world cup Alison could be a snip at 60 mill or he will go to madrid. jack butland no chance at this moment in time. lets finally get joe hart hahaha
good point from Neil about Sergio, we need two and the organised chaos the lady in the panel touched should see us in the draw next Friday. Mon’Reds
