John Gibbons is joined by Andy Kelly, Rob Gutmann and Joel Richards to round-up the latest news and action at Liverpool’s academy.
The U23s are still unbeaten and top of the table. We speak about the fine form of Harry Wilson, again a hat-trick hero against Spurs at Anfield, and what we see happening to him over the next few months. We also talk about the significance of beating Manchester City thanks to a Yan Dhanda late goal.
The U18s have been up and down under new manager Steven Gerrard. We focus in particular on two contrasting European performances at home to Sevilla and away at Spartak Moscow, and why Gerrard might have felt the need to publicly criticise his attacking players after the defeat in Moscow. However there is still a derby win to enjoy in between.
A bit of housekeeping to consider, I have been a subscriber for over 2 years and as my bank card recently expired the end of September and my subscription was due on 05/10, instead of sending a generic courtesy notification and a specified period of grace in order to pay the £5, TAW terminated my membership on the 06/10.
Now where’s the sense in that, that sort of nonsense must surely cost you a fair few members. Just saying
TAW doesn’t terminate your membership, mate – it’s the way PayPal works. They try to take the money, it fails because your card has expired. Your sub then lapses because we haven’t received payment. We don’t have access to PayPal’s records so we can’t send any advance warning.
Thanks for the reply. Just food for thought.
It first came to mind when I didn’t have access to the subscription shows, then I realised there may be an expiry issue with my bank card.
Well actually it does terminate when you don’t receive payment. Going back to my original point of maybe it would be mutually beneficial to have an auto generic notification email message, accompanied for example with 1 weeks notice which would have triggered me to renew my card. It’s surely not that difficult??
We don’t hold your bank card information, PayPal do. Exactly the same thing happens at LFC with auto cup payments. Which is why you see big queues to sort it outside the ticket office.
