As the window draws closer to slamming shut Liverpool FC suddenly seems a hive of activity. There have been strong reports The Reds have offered a fee of over £60 million for Thomas Lemar. What does this mean for Liverpool’s other targets and for players who are currently at the club such as Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi. Is this what Plan B actually looks like?
Arsenal came to Anfield and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain got a standing ovation. Will he soon be getting one in Liverpool red?
What does everyone expect from this point? How is the Virgil Van Dijk confidence?
Rob Gutmann hosts as Neil Atkinson, Philippa Smallwood and Dan Morgan speculate wildly on the goings on for The Reds.
You boys released this 2hrs too early…Keita in for next year!!

Man, that went out of date really quickly
If the Ox’s salary demands are accurate he wants more per week than we pay Phil. That ain’t gonna happen. Now we could make bonus arrangements up front to fix it but otherwise don’t think we’ll go for him.
Nvm. Ox to Chelsea. London and pay packet.
Origi could be off to Monaco.
Possibly permanently.
Getting in class players to keep us moving up to top level at home and in Europe is great, but we also need to shore up our current crop of players who are performing well and we need to keep. Emre Can has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 months since his injury issues and we need to secure him for the next few years and not have the likes of Juve come and nab him away. Why spend 60M on a good (but unknown in the EPL) prospect but let your proven players out the back door for less.
Because we’ve heard nothing about another centre-half, and Saints are so adamant that they’re not selling VVD now, I wonder if there’s an arrangement to buy him in January? Interesting thought. The Saints get to play hardball, but Klopp ultimately gets his man. Would explain why there’s no links to other centre-halves.
