Direct – Radio City Talk: Liverpool Clear Hoffenheim Hurdle
“Got the impression they could just do them”. Had to pause there: They never did though did they? Seen it loads of times. There’s a massive difference between looking like you’re going to score every attack and actually putting the ball into the goal. This team wastes loads of chances and promising situations and has done for 12 months. We were all saying it even when they were blowing teams away last year.
“If and when it clicks..” Looking dangerous and constantly on the verge is what Klopp’s teams do. It’s achieved by sacrificing some order for a little chaos. As in instructing the players to pass and move forward at a tempo that’s at the very limit of their physical and mental capabilities. It’s great when it works, and with enough quality players it quite often will to such an extent that the opposition might as well not be there. But with these lads it keeps boiling over with a misplaced pass over and over again. Wasted energy on the field and in the stands. And that’s what makes it so frustrating to watch. And that’s also why a quality signing or two are vital. Up the reds.
What you on about?!
Thought that was a fantastic insight! Well pleased with my input.
