Credit as ever to John Furlong for creating the game and advising and Stephen Davies for pulling in the fees and money. Josh Sexton in the office too and Sam May who did me a list of names.
Rules are as follows:
92m to spend plus anything you get in (this allows for seepage in terms of agent fees and so on). However you also need to balance the wage bill.
You can make a case for one player beyond that if you see fit to do so. It has to be a very strong case.
It needs to be a plausible amount of work we can achieve in a summer in terms of both ins and outs. It has to feel like we can achieve all of this with our resource of time. Added to this, the manager wants to have his players in for pre-season. Unless it is an extreme circumstance, we are not at home to signing a player after the 15th July. Therefore we have to be able to get these deals done. Bear that in mind. How much effort would, for instance, Sanchez be?
The wage a player receives has been broken into six categories with the current breakdown of where Liverpool’s resources are placed on there.

To this you can add the equivalent of two more super highs, two more highs and one more medium.
You may feel that one or two of Liverpool’s current crop are being under-paid and you might want to tie them down with boosts using this money this summer. You cannot retain Emre Can’s services without agreeing a new deal with a pay increase.
Any players sold their wage comes into the shake-up for new players coming with the exception of those who have been on loan. Any of those you keep, you actually have to add their wages to your budget. Any you decide to loan and risk the manager’s wrath, you get their wages.
The conversation rate is as follows:
2 Super Highs = 1 Mega
2 Highs = 1 Super High
2 Mediums = 1 High
2 Lows = 1 Medium
2 Junior = 1 Low

WTF?
Sat in Nero,s chuckling to this.
Really hope the so called transfer committee
Is more organised !!Dont think they got any money for Sakho?
Glad Tah got a mention although had a difficult season with injuries and loss of form
after a brilliant last couple of seasons , long term could be a better option than a very expensive van Dyke.
Having watched Clyne this season I would be tempted to sell him , move Milner to right back where he would be more comfortable and more end product and buy a top quality left back and a young up and coming prospect as Trent is on the right Don’t understand this notion of getting away with playing almost anyone there, need to solve this position once and for all for me.
Anyway looking forward to the next one
Thanks lads
I’ve unrigged my version, you clearly engineer it in a certain way (leaving certain players off, lowballing the fees of players you lot want to sign/don’t want to sell and vice versa) to steer the conversation – it’s a bit RAWK tbh.

£137m in.
£229m to spend.
–
Tah £25m – High.
Gaya – £28m – High.
Keita £46m – Super High.
Mbappe £130m – Super High.
Jib off the domestic cups for a season.
Getting Mbappe for twice the money of Alexis Sanchez would be absolutely nuts.
It’s a bit of fun – not sure there’s a grand conspiracy behind it.
Before a Jonathan Tah bandwagon happens- please check him out on you tube if you’re not familiar with him. He is not bad but not great- he’s clumsy and basic, uses his physique but no way any better than we have. A country mile away from Van Dijkand would be an expensive backward step.
Please don’t start a support Tah as a VVD alternative. He’s not. Nowhere near.
Not saying VVD is God- but he’s a step towards a Hypia or even Hansen/Lawerence if Klopp gets his hands on him.
But Tah- proceed to cheer with caution.
Just as you should never buy a player on the basis of watching you tube clips you should never dissmiss a player using the same method.
I could put together clips of Carragher which would make him look basic if required.
Every top team across Europe want this lad and although this season his level has dropped he is by no means average .
By all means disagree, but please if you do can you put some other names forward which helps add to the debate, so much easier to be negative or criticise the panels or individual suggestions .
I thought that was going to be a dull listen but it was great fun!

Worked out the wages and there’s enough for the incomings and for Emre Can to get a new contract.
Beg John Henry for £9m/Tierney as he’s young with potential (if rejected, sell Ward (5m) & beg for 4m).
Just a point, I’m quite keen on Lacazette, but not for that price. not sure where the £76m price tag came from, most rumours have been saying £35m – £45m.
If we actually managed to do this transfer business I’d be going town for a week!

Now having listened to the podcast it makes much sense! A good listen. Hope our transfers in and out are not done in half an hour!
One thing this list suggests is that we are starting to generate a decent bit of money from the academy system, especially if you count the likes of Stewart who weren’t then from a young age. On the prices listed we’d be looking at 50M plus. Add that to Ibe, Smith and co. last year and Sterling the year before,
My heads fucked
