GARETH Roberts, John Gibbons, ESPN’s Liverpool FC reporter Glenn Price and Rob Gutmann have an unscripted chat about the Reds’ number 15.
Was the striker’s performance against Southampton in the League Cup semi final another signal that his time at Anfield could be coming to an end or should we be more patient with the goalscorer?
Has Sturridge’s game changed or is he too conscious of trying to impress Jürgen Klopp?
And with Sturridge now 27, and among Liverpool’s top earners, can either party afford for him to be a squad player?

Direct – FREE Cup Of Tea: The Daniel Sturridge Question
He is a Liverpool player he still deserves our support the injuries have all but ended his Liverpool career until he is gone YNWA STUDGE
Why do a large proportion of our fans have such a problem with Sturridge? From day one the attitude towards him has been one of keeping him at arms length, so to speak. It’s insane! He’s scored loads of goals and basically been a thousand times better than anyone thought he would.
OK, he’s had injury problems. But so’s Jon Flannagan and people don’t resent him for it.
Do some fans think he’s malingering? Is that it? Are they medical experts then? Or mind readers?
What is it? Cos quite frankly it does my nut in. Don’t you realise, he is one of our best players!
You’ll chant for Origi until the cows come home despite the fact he’s basically not that good but runs a lot. Sturridge is ten times the player he is.
Appreciate any feedback here.
Call me old-fashioned, but I do like a centre-forward who scores goals. I do wonder sometimes whether Jurgen doesn’t privilege hard work over goals.
Between a rock and a hard place. You build a team around a few key players to get the best out of them. LFC did this in 13 / 14 and we got the best out of Suarez and Sturridge. Suarez is not replaced and Studge is the main man but injured for 18 months. Can you still build a team around him? No. Can he still do a job, yes. Can he slip easily into a team not focused on his strengths? Not sure. Does he look today a bit like Torres did at Chelsea? Not as bad but you don’t know what a Sturridge goals looks like anymore.
