Desert Island Goals – A new TAW Player show where Andy Heaton sits down with a variety of notable Liverpool fans to ask them about their top three Liverpool goals, the story around them and a little snapshot of their life at the time.
Joining Andy for a chat about their three all time favourite Liverpool goals for the second edition of Desert Island Goals is former Liverpool Chief Executive Rick Parry.
Desert Island Goals – A great chat about great goals with a great guest.
Really have enjoyed these two shows. Great to get the behind the scenes stories, Gary Mac’s legendary status has only gone up even higher.
Would it be a suggestion to add youtube links (if possible) to the goals discussed during the shows, on this page
Hello mate,
Not all the goals are on YouTube and to be honest, I like the idea that we don’t reveal the goals beforehand.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
Andy
No worries, I understand what you mean by not revealing the goals and you’re right it does work better. I had just found myself pausing the stream and spending 30 mins watching a ton of LFC goals on youtube.

Enjoyed that Andy.
Nice one!
Love this idea for a show, Desert Island Goals.
Although I found that Andy Heaton constantly interrupts, talks over and sometimes even finished Rick Parry’s sentences.
I was very intrigued to hear what Parry had to say, but as soon as I noticed this, I started to become more and more irritated as it went on.
I don’t want to be an asshole, but I invite anybody to listen back to it and you will notice and it will seriously spoil it.
I love my subscription, and the idea for this show, but it’s really unprofessional for the interviewer to be over eager to get his point across at the expense of the guest.
Again, as I said, not trying to be critical, but Andy Heaton needs to be made aware of this as it can really spoil a show. It may just be the way that AH talks, but I have also noticed this when he fills in on shows like Tuesday Review. I’m sure its fine on AFQ etc, but when you are trying to listen to a valid opinion and that person is constantly talked over and interrupted, it’s just bad form…
Sorry…
Up the reds
Just finished listening to this and have to say i loved the insight provided by interviewing someone like Rick Parry given the position he previously had with the club.
Look forward to hearing more of these and other great content.
