STARTING to feel a sense of anticipation as the dreaded international break begins to wind down? It’s now just seven days until the Reds welcome Manchester United to Big Anfield and the proper football wheel of news is starting to spin once again building up to the weekend.
Now all that remains is to get the Redmen back from foreign shores in one piece and get them straight on the training pitch to prepare for the United bus and Shitcoat’s trademark sporting antics.
Carra: United Under The Lights Will Be Extra Special
It does feel like the first time in a good few years that a Liverpool v United clash has felt so important, in terms of affecting goings on further up the table. And I can’t imagine many more who’d have loved to have been involved than Jamie Carragher. Throwing in shin-high challenges on Nani and all that. Class.
Nevertheless he’s still looking forward to watching the game, which he agrees feels like a big game once again, and he says that there will be an even more special atmosphere on Monday night.
He said: “This is extra special, under the lights at Anfield, and there have been some great games there, you think of the 3-3 game all that time ago. It will be a great atmosphere, and I think Liverpool will go in confident with the way they’re playing.”
Sturridge On Learning To Score Headers
Daniel Sturridge scored for England the other night — so I’m told, I wasn’t watching. And I’m guessing it was a header, as he’s been talking about developing a knack for scoring with his head.
He told FATV: “I don’t score a lot of headers but over the last couple of years I’ve actually started scoring them more often — so I think I might be getting the knack for it. But I don’t want to talk too soon!”
Might be good considering he “doesn’t run anymore.” Also I’ve just googled his height and nobody seems to know how tall he is, which is good. Lowest I’ve seen is five-foot-nine and tallest is six-foot-two. Bit mad.
The Ref’s A Manc?
The referee for Monday’s game against Manchester United has been announced. It’s Anthony Taylor from Wythenshawe in Greater Manchester.

Captain Hendo
Jordan Henderson’s form this season is to be recognised by England’s caretaker manager Gareth Southgate, with the Liverpool captain reportedly set to be handed the armband for his country — and United’s Wayne Rooney, who was apparently booed off the other night, dropping to the bench.

If the international break were a footballer I would to see it get a two-footed tackle in the chest.
It’s the equivalent of lending a mate a car, only to have them return it with the two back seats ripped out and a shit on the bonnet.
I cannot remember the last time we got players back unharmed from the international break.
