WITH the Reds back at Anfield tomorrow, much of the focus — since our walk in an East Midlands park on Tuesday night — has been on Saturday’s game as we all mutually hope that our lads can set down a marker and show our rivals that Anfield is going to be a horrible place to visit for the foreseeable future.

A lot of the talk has been about team selection and proving ourselves, but it will all be forgotten by 3pm tomorrow as our Mighty Reds try and make it four on the bounce — or six unbeaten, whichever way you want to look at it.

Mignolet: Reds Must Stay Angry

While it seems that Loris Karius will start between the sticks against Hull, Simon Mignolet has been talking about what the team can do to keep up their good start.

He said: “He [Klopp] has always been one who tries to press high and early, to start the game lively and angry, and to take the game to the opponents rather than to sit off and wait to see what happens.

“We want to start on the front foot, to not give a breather to the opponents. We’ll have to do that again, put them under pressure from the very beginning, then hopefully we can keep that momentum throughout the game.

“We worked very hard in pre-season to make sure that fitness levels are there to maintain that pressure game throughout 95 minutes. Everybody is ready to do that.”

Looks like he’ll be cheering from the bench on Saturday, anyway, but is right Si the Mig.

Lovren: We’ve Learned From Burnley

That doesn’t mean we’re copying Burnley, obviously. But Dejan Lovren has been talking about how the lessons learned from the loss to Burnley will help Liverpool against Hull on Saturday.

He said: “We learned from our mistakes in the past and we know what we can expect from Hull City.

“They are a good team, defending well, so it will be tough definitely.

“But if we play like [against Derby] and in the games before then we won’t have a problem.”

Huddlestone: Hull Have A Game Plan

Everybody is pretty sure they know what to expect from Hull City when they visit Anfield on Saturday. With the way Liverpool have been playing, they are expected to park the bus and try to frustrate Jürgen Klopp’s side with the onus on them to try and break Hull down.

Tom Huddlestone has been hinting at this, saying: “Liverpool had a blip against Burnley a few weeks ago, but I watched them against Chelsea last Friday and thought they were excellent, especially in the first half.

“We’ve come up with a game plan for Saturday. We know we have to try and nullify their attacking threats and try and impose ourselves on the game, maybe a bit more than we did against Arsenal last weekend.”

Into these, Redmen. No more doubts.
