LOTS of movement between Premier League clubs in the transfer market yesterday, let’s see what the latest rumours are surrounding Liverpool FC.
Benteke Latest
As you’ll probably be aware by now, Crystal Palace have moved to reopen talks with Liverpool to sign Christian Benteke.
It doesn’t appear that there has been much movement since the story was broken yesterday, however according to reports in the Mirror Palace are willing to pay the £32million asking price that the Reds have set, which would likely see this deal wrapped up pretty quickly.
Could be a good deal for all parties.
Sampdoria 11th Hour Bid For Lucas?
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sampdoria have contacted Lucas Leiva’s agent about a potential move to the Serie A club.
Lucas is believed to be all but set for a move to Galatasaray, but it appears Sampdoria could be looking to gazump the Turkish club at the 11th hour.
So what about Lucas?
Brazilian Decision In 24 Hours
Galatasaray confirmed via their Twitter page that Lucas has asked for a day to make a decision on his future.
Rumours have been swirling on social media in recent days, with suggestions that Jurgen Klopp wants to keep him as defensive cover, and that the player’s wife isn’t keen on moving the family out of their home.
Personally, I hope he stays.
Levent Nazifoğlu: We've spoken personally with Lucas Leiva. He asked for one more day. The situation will be clearer by tonight.

I think our Lucas will do right by his missus and his children, and stay put, accepting that he’ll feature infrequently (a la Kolo Toure last season).
I sure hope he does.
