Klopps 6 more years might also help sell the city to players.
Anyone wants London? “Fuck that fella, klopps here for 7 years, that’s how good it is.”
Wow that tale from Ian about the stand seat that his dad sat in really made me understand how badly Liverpool handled the selling of the old seats. It is yet again showing a lack of supporter understanding, who is responsible for such detachment?
Did anybody question it at all?
I really honesty hope and wish the club had offered STH their seats. I agree with the panel it being wrong. I personally think after they tore them out carelessly, leaving it impossible to find the right seats for STH. They should saved face and sold them on for charity. 99% of people would back giving a decent charitable donation if some kids benefitted from it or the Anfield area. Cock up on FSG’s part. Always a few steps forward and then a couple back.

Great listen guys, thanks as always. Regarding the Klopp contract extension… I’m purely speculating here but tying down key staff is Mergers and Aquisitions 101. I’ve got my own business and we’ver recently engaged in the process of taking on some equity investment into our company, from a large overseas investor. One of the first things you want to do, to ensure you benefit from the highest multiple on the value of your business, is to ensure business continuity and a clear growth path. The most important part of this is tying down key personnel. No investor will spend a penny on you if he thinks your best people are going to leave immediately after they take over. So in our company’s case, we identified who the key growth drivers were, and explained the situation and incentivised them to lock-in their contracts for an extended period (in our case, largely, with better pay). This is a shot in the dark and I may be reading too much into this, but I’m with Rob Gutmann, that there’should more to this than meets the eye. I feel like FSG are getting the house in order as a precursor to something significant. We heard about the Chinese interest being rebuffed last week (don’t know how credible)… but I feel like they’ll be more of that to come.
Another great listen especially about the seat debacle.
I’ve sat in the Main since 1981 seat 149 and my dad next to me in 148. I kept my dad’s ticket since he died and my nephew has sat there since.
A few years ago when I decided to get a tattoo in honour of my dad I got the number 148 included in it. As that was where we shared so many great times together. That’s why I was so desperate to obtain his seat.
the never have and never will get it!
Great point made that the £2m they lost on the tickets they will now get back. Massive own goal again, thanks ayre hope this is your legacy!
