IT’S that time of year when we tell you what Christmas Presents you should be buying. Well books, anyway
Neil Atkinson and John Gibbons are joined by a rotating cast of many to discuss three brilliant football books released this year
Firstly David Fairclough is in to talk about his Autobiography ‘Super Sub’

Secondly Simon Hughes pops by to talk about his book Men In White Suits – Liverpool FC in the 1990s, the players stories

Loads of interesting stories along the way
Read Simon’s book during the summer. Absolutely loved it. Wished there was a conclusion chapter with . Simon’s opinion but now I know why there wasn’t one. Didn’t want it to be too biased. Good shout.
That Managers book sounds great and I especially like to hear people talk about Brendan in good terms. Everyone seems to give him abuse apart from you guys and the lads at Redmen.
P.s. loving the shows.
– Ha! I Hope This Is Nothing Trivial: The David Fairclough Story.
– Everyone’s da loves Souness. Him and Bob Dylan.
– Feel shit for Brendan again now. We should probably stop making shells of men out of our managers at some point soon.
Anyone read ‘January Window’ by Philip Kerr ? The half dozen ‘Berlin Noir’ Bernie Günter detective novels have been quality. Perhaps as a Christmas present alternative to the well-chosen Non-Fiction so far, on the cast.
Agreed, I really enjoyed Simon’s book, especially the Nicky Tanner and Erik Meier chapters. One of my favourite Reds books, up there with Brian Reade and Carra’.
