Disgusted that we’ve been shamed into reversing a stupid, offensive decision. It leaves a nasty taste! With most first-team players still getting over £100,000 AFTER tax, every week, could they not agree to each contribute £2,000 per week, for about six weeks, to help other Liverpool staff and/or local hospitals, etc.? Most of our top players have tens of millions in the bank so can’t exactly say that they can’t afford a miniscule reduction (on their wages) for just a few weeks. They wouldn’t even miss what is, to them, loose change!
Keeps proving that LFC owners are listening to what supporters want and believe. Top class
Rooney wrote a piece on why EPL players are sounded out compared to other rich people in everyday world and we all know how much players are on but how do you know they haven’t donated themselves? Hendo has publicly announced a charity where he’ll be involved in along with other players. Overall, they are going to take a pay cut but not at 30%. If its 15% or 20% pay cut its still a cut and more then what your suggesting. Give it to FSG to take a bout turn and acknowledge they made a mistake.
