Alisson: 7
Made a couple of half decent saves. Seen a Blue on the train with a Vanarama coat on before the game. A fucking sponsor on his coat. Fucking tramps.
Trent: 7
Seemed keen to beat these Bluenose cunts. Started well, drifted out of it like all The Reds.
Joel: 7
Makes me nervous all day long. Don’t like the way he always ends up stepping out like fucking Glenn Hysen in his pomp. Road to nowhere. That said, dribbles down a dead end and somehow sets up Mo Salah for the second half one that he should score.
Virgil: 8
Mad the way their game plan first half was to try to twat it to the best defender in the league’s head. Sublime all game pretty much.
Andy Robbo: 7
What you would expect? All the running, all the work, all the tackles. The Reds not quite at it second half but it wasn’t for the want of trying.
Jordan Henderson: 7
First half I thought he was The Reds’ best player. Second half, like the rest of them, raggedy arse motherfucker. Some ball through for Mo first half.
Gini: 6
Seemed a step too far today. Four games in, what, seven days or some shite? Quiet.
Fabinho: 7
Bright, controlled that section of midfield. Was a shame he or anyone else in midfield didn’t step up last 20 when The Reds needed a cool head. A bit frantic last 20 and needed someone to take the sting out of it.
Mo: 6
Six seems harsh but he’s got to take one of them two chances. Two poor touches for both one on ones killed his chances to finish. Did well first half but couldn’t get on it second.
Sadio: 6
Night off for Sadio. Tried his best, just didn’t get much going for him.
Divock: 7
Dead funny the way they booed him every time he touched it. Hahahahaha.
“What shall we do with this cunt who scored in the 96th minute against us last time and always scored against us?”
“Well we probably should try and ignore him and pretend like it didn’t crush our souls.”
“Yer, yer. I agree. Let’s show no feelings whatsoev… Boooooooooooooooo. Fucking boooooooooooooo. Boooooo that fucking boooooo.”

out of our hands. oh well.
These average performances were 3 points earlier in the season but it’s not happening now. When Mo apparantly wasn’t playing well but was frequently winning us games. Sure there’s a few more twists to come but someone’s gonna have to step up soon in these close games. Easy to do it when everything’s going right. Come on Mo lad, sort it out.
Difficult conditions, with a ref who was determinded not to award us anything and a committed Everton team who gave it everything. Not sure we were average, just we needed a tad more composure as the commitment was there. In fact if anything I feel we had too much urgency, which was the very thing lacking against Man Utd.
i feel we just couldn’t get any sort of luck Sunday. The ball just wouldn’t bounce for us, drop for us or run for us. Always just falling in Everton’s favour. However we tried.
Henderson is to average to lead liverpool to the title. No goals and no assists all season. That is unacceptable
In recent weeks Hendo has put some decent through balls to Salah including Sunday. Mo has been unlucky not to have scored with these chances. So it’s a bit harsh saying about the assists.
I do agree that he can do more on occasions.

Don’t blame the subs.
Klopp is the one you should rate, which you never do for some reason.
He put out an aging/tired Milner for Gini, injured Firmino for Origi and Mr. Pirouette Lallana for Mane.
What kind of impact do you expect these three to have in a derby game that already had the crowd riled up for their (probably famous) draw?
alternatively, 7 pts ahead on the 2nd Jan.
Hi Sash, We had very few options to go to on the bench. Perhaps we could have gone to Sturridge if we felt like he was actually up for playing for us. When he comes on now he looks like he can’t even be bothered. Bizarre as you think he would be doing everything to get a new contract or even putting himself in the shop window. Equally this may be his last chance of being at a Club that’s in a shout for winning trophies… Or it ould be that his heart is still with Citeh and he wants to see them win the League. Who can tell?
Can’t see him (Sturridge), Lallana and Origi being with us after the summer. As for Milner he may get another contract as he played lots of good games for us this season, just not on Sunday. At least he is up for it and wants to do well. Unfortunately Milly came on and ran round like some excited kid in a kick about. Not sure he even found a red shirt with any of his passes.
The only other real option was Keita and you just feel he’s too lightweight still for such games. especially as Atkinson was letting Everton get away with all manner of shithouse thuggery, yet penalising us for anything and eveything. Typical Atkinson, who goes out of his way not to award us anything.
Fair enough ratings, but When push has come to shove we’ve been simply awful. Klopp must take the blame as well. I even think with subs he often appears clueless..
We weren’t great today especially 2nd half, but it was a derby. It was never gonna be easy. It was frustrating not being able to do the simplest of things like passing and controlling but this can happen away at Everton who are going to make things uncomfortable.
Salah not being at it didn’t help but he was constantly involved. We can forgive him though surely. Alisson was rarely troubled and Van Dijk was just immense!!!
We didn’t win but it’s another clean sheet and we’ve some winnable games coming up. I’m still confident of winning this league and I’ll be amazed if City don’t drop anymore points.
We go again. YNWA
Nice to see some positivity after reading through the comments above. Farcical that people can say we were awful or that klopp doesn’t know what he’s doing. I think the ratings are fair, we played well first and Everton really upped it second half through gomes and then went for it with Richarlison and Tosun coming on. Mo was unlucky twice, on another day those are incredible messi-esque goals, similar to the 3 he could have had v Watford.
Plenty of twists to come but this season has been a joy, so whatever will be will be.
Salah got no protection whatsoever from Atkinson all game. You can clearly see his shirt being pulled and yet Atkinson didn’t once penalise any Everton player for any of this. That said, I think Mo was trying too hard on Sunday.
Baffling substitutions. Is there any other info on either Keita or Shaqiri which would give an indication as to why they weren’t utilised? Milner, although perhaps not the best option at that moment, is an acceptable change. Lallana however is very much in the sturridge camp of no longer being good enough and completely ineffectual.
We haven’t lost the league today but it’s a game we should have won and will probably end up rueing. Most disappointingly I found myself agreeing with Gary Neville when he said that we were having trouble controlling the tempo- we seemed to give in to chaos towards the end of the game. Instead of controlling and keeping the ball we consistently gave it back to Everton. No dominance or superiority was asserted. Where most of us where hoping for a final ten minutes of sustained pressure we didn’t offer anything of the sort.
No excuses for Salah though. Everything is moot if he takes one of his golden oppurtunities. In particular if he scores that one in the first half we comfortably win that match.
There was a period in the second half where we tried playing it from the back got in a tangle and they pressed a corner off us and the Everton crowd went mental from then on we lost control I’m all for playing out the back but ffs do you still pass out when it’s not on and why does Allison wait for the player to charge him down before he hits it long we were strolling it tho without a goal then all of a sudden we do this silly pass from the back then it all goes frantic smh
I personally feel we were trying to force things that weren’t on. it’s not a bad thing, as any other day it would come off for us. It did get frantic though and it did need cool heads. We need to remember though that these lads are still learning. We have (I believe) the 2nd youngest team in the PL… It’s not all doom and gloom though, as despite the tricky conditions, Atkinson being the usual bastard to us all game and them being up for it, we were the only ones likely to score and unlucky not to.
As usual and so.predictable let’s have a go at Klopp! Don’t you realise he has taken us to a place we could only dream of three years ago. The squad is simply not strong enough yet but in most seasons our results and points tally would have us romping away towards the title. Understand where we are in this process. He is not perfect and neither is his team but we are moving towards our objectives, the squad needs to be strengthened this summer and it has been obvious all season that we are crying out for a creative midfielder do you think he doesn’t know that? Lists should have filled the role but it hasn’t worked yet maybe it will when in the next few weeks.
Sorry about typo it’s late ! for lists read Kieta.
Fantastic post David. I concur with all you have put.
It’s over.
Come on mate that mentality literally gets you nowhere. One of the many reasons why I love TAW is the level-headed optimism. Sure you can be disappointed with the results and the points dropped but what else can the team do but be better, and try to be better the next time around? And what else can us supporters do, except get behind the team and will them on. It’s a marathon not a sprint, we go again!
Then stop watching!
What’s over???
I wish we would start shooting a bit from out side of the box. Time and again againstbutd and everton when things werent going our way we continued to try and walk thr ball in from within the penalty area. On dsys like thst we need to tskena fee potshots and the strukers need to follow upnin case the goalie spills the ball . Its almost like we are too scared to shoot because its deemed a waste of posession.?
I remember Couts doing that time and again. And more often than not, he shot it into the sky. somtimes it’s better to hold the nerves and be patient. forcing the issue never helped us before.
I agree with this.
I’m proud of our lads.
The only team going toe to toe with the FFP billionaire frauds and worrying them.
Plenty of turns still left to come in this season but we have entered the ‘cant afford anymore slip ups’ zone now.
Whatever happens, another FANTASTIC season of progress for Klopp and the mighty reds
Agree. Midweek City get a dodgy pen awarded. equally City didn’t set the World alight against Bournemouth. We are though continuing to keep them honest and they are having to work for this title. Last year it was a procession and based on that some felt that they should just be given the PL trophy this year before a ball was even kicked.
We’ve lost just once all season and that to City who had a Manc ref, refereeing a home game and he gave City everything. That’s the game that rankles me, because if the proper decision had of been given, then they’d of been down to 10 men and we would have gone on to win, meaning we would have 3 more points and them 3 less. just bare that all in mind.
Nine from me for big Virg!
Pretty high ratings for a team that lacked intensity, passion, energy, the will to press and last but not least: quality in the last pass. After 15 minutes you already saw it wouldn’t be our best game. Apart from our defence and maybe Fabinho, I think no one deserves more than a 6. They (and Klopp) simply have to do more in these kind of games. Those two draws at United and Everton I would have taken them at the beginning of the season, but they pretty much feel like a defeat right now…
Despite that: not over yet by any means! I still believe. Up the Reds!!!
