Good afternoon Paul ,
Liverpool FC need to urgently buy a goalkeeper or there season will end before it has begun , this is a major issue that needs to be solved.
Wards recent resurgence in Klopps opinion (Wow!!! that was quick) and Karius concussion are just convenient excuses for FSG not having budgeted for an expensive keeper. This wasn’t in the transfer committees plan. which is- sell big to buy.
Just like Coutinho for VVD and Kieta.
If Mane’s sold for big money to RM -as could happen, then there might be a re-think.
Building the value of the club, training facility etc and investing sensibly in players is what CL and TV money will be a prioritising. Finishing in the top four and getting to a CL final or other finals keeps FSG happy. Winning something is a by product, nothing more!!!
I think it’s another bit of good business for the money in today’s game. I think one more i.e Fakhir and maybe a goal keeper and that will be a boss window for me like!? Up The Reds!!!
Mane will not be sold, yet.
RM has major targets like Mbappe, etc. Mane is a good player, but I don’t think he fits the RM mold, but then again stranger things have happened.
I think Shaqiri is bargain hunt, and I for one don’t want to put any more stock into this player being some sort of savior, etc. Less pressure the better — if he impresses then great.
I don’t know about Fekir. WC win whill inflate his price further, and there is no guarantee about his injuries. Could end up being a very expensive crocked player.
We still need some cover for VVD. I think if he gets injured Lovren and Matip won’t fare as well.
Btw, if you are reading Klopp, “Please buy an experienced goalkeeper”.
As much as I want Karius and Ward to be given a go, I think these two should be made #3 and #2 respectively.
