Gareth Roberts and Paul Cope are again joined by Stephen Warnock for another Pro View, this time discussing Stephen’s career in depth following his decision to retire after racking up 540 games as a professional.
Does he regret the decision and what is next for the man who made 212 appearances in the Premier League?
They also discuss how it all began for a young kid in Ormskirk, the mental and physical battle to overcome three broken legs and the highlights and lowlights of his time at Liverpool.
It’s a frank and honest Pro View special about Stephen’s time in the game from the beginning at the Liverpool Academy to the end at Bradford City.
Brilliant! SW is always great value. Rick Parry sounds a bit of a divvy.
Great podcast! Well in lads. Stephen Warnock is sound! Lovely fella. Wish him all the best for his future.
That was fuckin brilliant, what a roller coaster life it can be as a pro,and what a test of character and mental strength you have to have. Well done stephen and TAW i love these shows, honest and really interesting. All the best on your retirement mate
What a fascinating insite , to behind the scenes behaviours of managers , owners , agents and our course professional footballers , I was gutted at the time Stephen never came back under Kenny , now I know the reason , top guy and a decent left back !
wow, great podcast, really gripping and honest insight into a football career , still cant believe he recovered from so many leg breaks!!
Boss Listen
More than decent listen that
Excellent show. Congratulations to Stephen for his career and for being a top bloke.
Really interesting insight, that.
Excellent show, really hope you keep these coming
TOP TOP SHOW, SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOUR SELF STE WARNOCK….. ALWAYS ENJOYED WATCHING YOU. CONGRATULATIONS….TOP PRO
Yep, brilliant that was.
Excellent, really enjoyed it, hope there are more to come
Another brilliant podcast. The Pro View is always a good listen and I’m glad that Stephen’s gonna carry on, now he’s become a national radio pundit.
I mean, obviously I’d buy Steve’s autobiography anyway but, I don’t feel I need to read it now I’ve listened to this! Some properly juicy bits that you’d only ever get bits of in the gossip pages (in the old days)!
Always enjoyed hearing Ste’s ‘ex-pro view’ (soz lad!) on matches, tactics etc, but a potted history of his career with some of the ‘characters’ (for want of a better term!) that he’s encountered well told – great show lads! Bravo Steve for being so candid and revealing, top man!
That was quality, really enjoyed it and fascinating insight. Intrigued to find out about burton Albion now, and would like to hear from Stevie about it. Definitely room for a part 2 anyway.
Great podcast with Stephen Warnock there, a really good look at just how tough it is to make it as a professional footballer, the highs & lows yoi go through. Looking forward to more of the same – maybe with someone like James Milner?
Great interview… always liked Stephen as a player… shame about the injuries but still a solid career… all the best.. A
Captivating!
