The second in our series of free audio documentaries revisiting notable days in Liverpool Football Club’s history. This time we head back to November 6, 1982 and to Goodison Park for a derby victory Liverpool fans still sing about to this day.
Helping us tell the story are Liverpool players Ian Rush, Phil Thompson, Alan Kennedy and Bruce Grobbelaar, Everton legend Graeme Sharp, first-team coach Roy Evans, journalists Graham Beecroft, Tony Evans and Brian Reade and supporters Rob Gutmann, John Mackin, Mike Nevin and Kev Sampson.
Belter!
First hat-trick in a league derby since 1935.
Awful sound quality. People talking in bathrooms. Terrible editing as well.
But great memory anyway.
YNWA!!
Bit harsh mate.
episode one was more fluid. However I have read Ian Rush’s book, he was my boyhood idol in a red shirt too and he meant it getting right it up everton . Himself and Ronnie were a great pair that made it together.
Great show but other than Gibbo the sound quality is poor.
@Trevo I know, you’re right. It was a bit harsh and I regret the tone because TAW do a lot of good things. I do stand by my criticism of the production quality of the documentary but I take your wee ticking off!

Brilliant! These are superb, such good quality, such good contributors, I’d subscribe just to listen to these.
Really enjoyed the first one of these but the piss poor audio quality makes this a hard listen. To have gone from the most professional production TAW has put out to date, to something which sounds like it was recorded on a building site with a Nokia 3210 is a bit of a come down.
