Liverpool tasted victory for the very first time against former boss Rafael Benitez and his Newcastle United side, leaving them peering over their shoulders at the relegation zone.

Good review yet again. One concern that popped up was this side’s strange relationship with possession. We have the majority of it throughout the game until we decide to see it off. At that point we seem incapable of keeping the ball, playing through midfield, or having an outball. Nerves creep in. Granted, Newcastle couldn’t really lay a glove on us, but this happened with Spurs as well. Klopp recognizes the problem when he says we ‘stop playing football’. Bringing Milner on helps, but I can see us going for a bit more of a baller in the summer. Somebody who might not tick all the boxes you’d associate with Klopp, but can help us settle when needed. It’s a concern going into the later stages of the European cup.
