It’s an excellent victory for the Mighty Boys in red – cruising to another home win and doing so with some lovely moments.
A game where Liverpool didn’t need to play brilliantly but had to find a way and talking about it are Steve Graves and Paul Senior with Neil Atkinson.

Super win. This team has can really beat any team especially now the so called low block teams. Solid at the back which is what we have not had in a long time. This in turn spreads confidence throughout the team to show patience when needed and then the precision disection of the opposition. For me, It’s the sum of all the parts! YNWA
Great great win !! Solid and tge back, brilluant karius!! We loom sharp cud finish 2 and why not dream maybe champions league winners!!
Wonderful Liverpool just wonderful!
Great patience
Great explosion of pace by Chamberlain when he saw what was on
Great pass by Chamberlain to Salah, feigns to shoot which created the space for the pass to Salah and the goal
Great control by Can; I was surprised by his inclusion – given his cards and the next game’s importance
Great trust by Klopp to play Can
Great second goal; Great
Great watching Van Dijk pass the ball; he is more like Beckenbaur than any other player I can compare him to
Great how the defence has improved with Van Dijk’s arrival
Shite decision by the officials at the end; wonder what they didn’t see
It is a joy to watch this side at the moment
Great that the next game is on Tuesday.
All this greatnes you witnessed but forgetting to mention the obvious great moment… when Karius makes that beautiful save to deny the equalizer. ;-)
Great shot from Diame (?)
Great save from Karius as you say; it was important too both for the team and for Karius.
Great win. But I say again MASSIVELY unfair to Mignolet. He has made world class saves for the club. The criticism of him when the defence was awful was ufair. Everyone can make a mistake but he has been made a whipping boy. Van Dyke has made all the difference to the defence. Mr Cool. Jockey mark two to my mind. Put Simon back in and you would be eulogising him, I promise. He has been replaced. Karius is good and is improving, no doubt but give Simon credit ‘cos he saved us more than once. If he is sold, watch him go to a club with a good defence and he will shine. Again, no doubt Karius is doing great, but dont do Mignolet the disservice of making sweeping condemnation of him when he has been a good servant behind abject defences in our recent past.
Mignolet spreads fear and doubt throughout the team and has done for 5yrs. Been made a whipping boy? Really? Really? I don’t think so. He’s never convinced and has had countless opportunities to do so. He’ll shine at another club alright, just not a club that wants to challenge and compete. Good riddance.
Jorginho’s more like Xabi Alonso than Mascherano.
I think Mane’s touch is just a different style. It isn’t a clinical kill, maybe like Firmino would do. His best, in form touch is one that puts the ball a yard in front of whatever way he wants to move. And that’s why when it’s off, out of form, it looks even worse.
