A run of the mill 0-2 win away from home? With this Liverpool team?
And yet run of the mill victories have indeed become part of this season’s package. Liverpool crushed Southampton’s spirit just before the break and left them for dead. Virgil van Dijk enjoyed his return to his former club, Loris Karius had a very good game and Liverpool’s attack are sublime.
Picking the bones out of this one are Paul Senior, Fuad Hasan, Neil Jones from the Liverpool Echo, and Ian Ryan.

Got the sense of a bit of over confidence, personally agree with Neil, think the tie will be extremely tight as will the fight for top 4, to the wire for me.
Good show
Matip is our 2nd best CB in my humble. Less error prone, better in build up, wins more of his duels. Might not be good enough & looks really clumsy when not in form, but I’d give him the edge over Lovren.
Looking over Porto’s results, they look particularly strong & high scoring at home, but travel less well. Zero away wins at this stage of the Champions League. Plays into our hands a bit, because I fancy us as a counter attacking side to get a good result in the first leg, but simultaneously think we can do the business at Anfield.
Enjoyed this one.
