Dreadful result from Liverpool tonight and one to pick the bones out of. What on earth was going on?
Talking through it are Dan Morgan, Gareth Roberts and Ian Salmon joining Neil Atkinson to really kick off on The Reds.

What on earth was going on! Sorry but West Brom, Pardew and the ref can all fuck off. Pardew is the antidote to football, he prevents or counteracts the joy of football. He should never manage a team again. So what if they got a point. When you instruct your team to time waste, fall over at will, somersault in pain after being touched, instruct your subs to hold onto the match ball to waste time your not fit to manage. Then there is the ref. They can all fuck right off.
The goal should have stood. They changed the rule in 2015. See Arsenal v Burnley last season. Also, 6 subs and 3 mins IT? Where was the rest for time wasting? Blows the whistle on 3:04 with us in a good position on the edge of their box. Yes we were shite, but being shite shouldn’t mean the rules don’t apply to you.
I can take playing poorly and not winning. I can take playing well and getting a bad call. I can’t take not playing well AND getting a poor call. A grim night.
Two things …
First – Klopp HAS to rotate, I get that, but it’s messing with our momentum and rhythm too much now. The best teams plug away game after game on a wave of momentum and energy. We win a big game, and we make 5-6 changes for the next fixture. You CANNOT expect us to find the form we need managing like that.
Second – Our good recent form has slightly masked the truth about this side … Which is we have a world class attack but very little beyond it. We are not a great side … at all.
Klopps longest winning run in the league since he arrived is FOUR games. Until he ditches his infuriating belief in his bang average midfield and terrible defence … this will continue over and over.
Interesting point of view. In my opinion the biggest clangers being made in the last two games were Mane & Salah’s two headers.
I asked on another thread if either of Lovren’s mistakes against Spurs were any worse than missing those chances – I don’t think so but we seem to be blaming the defence/midfield for the lack of 6 points.
A diatribe for the ages there on the Henderson v Can debate.
Don’t know if I heard right but MOTD called the disallowed goal “not a rule but a directive”. I have no idea what that means.
Totally agree with Neil’s character assassination of Can and Vanwankdum. If ever a player flatters to deceive its that Van what’s his name. Fuck me !!?
And btw, the concept and focus of professional football clubs and players, way back when, was primarily for working men to pay their money and be entertained. The action needs to happen on the field to inspire the crowd, not vice versa.
Have had to pause that there for a breath! Have to say – every point youre making about gini and can is exactly what drove me mad about hendo last game. YES.. he moves it faster than them… but the result is the same. Giving opposition teams way too much time to reset their shape with how all our midfielders play. Hopefully naby is the change we need here. Ok back to the show!
Nailed it about Can and the hipster fans
Can’t say Coutinho was the worst player on the pitch, he constantly wanted the ball, wasn’t great on it but he never stopped trying. As for Emre Can what a waster, he needs out of the squad, his stupid fouls and just all round not giving a shite. Ox should of played in there, BS to say he couldn’t start he’s a fit young lad.
That Henderson Can rant has needed saying for awhile now.
Brilliant show, one of the best post match shows in ages for me.Ian is a legend!
Neil’s assessment on Henderson completely boxed it for me, possibly not quite at the level we need but under appreciated and better than the others.
Look forward to seeing him play alongside Keita, think we may see a different player
Agreed with the Captains armband shout, giving this bunch of players the armband makes no difference but a really good leader can make one hell of a difference so back to the lack of leaders shoot.
Thanks again lads
Yes well done, Henderson is by far our best midfielder and tries like a bastard
