NEIL Atkinson is joined by Dan Austin, Craig Hannan and Dan Morgan to talk through Liverpool’s excellent but unorthodox European away victory at Hoffenheim. Jürgen Klopp’s men were second best first half but excellent in the second and they will feel as though they have done enough to go through at this stage.
Jordan Henderson was unexpectedly substituted, while Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane looked to have had very strong second halves and Liverpool showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with on the road this season.
It’s a win to cherish. Qualification for the group stage means everything to the club after last season. But more than that. Much more — Trent Alexander-Arnold announced himself on the local, national and international stage with a brilliant free kick and a very strong performance full of composure at full back. The future should be bright for Liverpool. One more win and The Reds can kick on in Europe.
I’ve got to take issue when Atko says we’ve not had a good set piece takes in years. That goofy lad from Uruguay wasn’t bad. Neither is the heathen who currently wants to leave. A few decent free kicks between them.
Corners are a separate issue ;)

I know this is the Pink.
But why the fuck is it not the Pink anymore?
Did I miss the memo over the summer guys?
Call it the Pink again, its easier to pick out on that ticker you have now. Cheers
Great goal from a great free kick at a great moment in the game. Quality! I’ve been s massive fan of Trent since the first time I saw him play. That said it doesnt say a lot for the senior pros when the manager proclaims the rookie pro is now the best free kick taker at the club
Agree with Mike’s comments. I also might add the the heathen was putting in some decent in-swingers last season. Also I am getting bored with the pod’s Henderson love in. He does not look fully fit and is leaving gapping holes in midfield. We played much better in both games when Can moved into the middle.
Massive win but not having the 0-3 score line shouts lads. They missed 3 clear cut chances and a pen!
Still think hoffenheim are a good team so made up with the win.
