“VVD is or was very close to signing until FSG did there usual lo balling, offer one wage and try and change last minute, they need to be careful with this one, they have a guy desperate to play for Klopp.
Thats all i have really for news other than the usual rumours, Salah is very much wanted, and the Ox is supposedly close.
Mendy wanted us but they offered a silly wage, looks like FSG will pay the transfer fee but again keep trying to pay lower wages than the others”
Michael. I assume this is a piss take of some of the nonsense swirling around on twitter and being put out on other fan sites?
People claiming to have knowledge of particular details of deal progress that is product of some “reliable sources” imagination. There is no such thing as a reliable source on Twitter, only some that read the tea leaves a little better than the others. If their stories start to fall apart they then need to invent fanciful reasons for why they may not come to pass.
This is Anfield put out a crock of shit story on Van Dijk low balling referencing deals for Mendy and Keita, which was clearly made up. This sort of thing gets passed around twitter in some sort of dreadful feedback loop winding fans up. It winds me up, but I know I should just ignore it and do something more constructive with my time. Maybe I should mow the lawn.
I’m not on twitter.
This is a very reliable source who is very rarely wrong over a period of several years going back to when Rafa was in charge.
Choose to believe it or not, I don’t care but know that this guy is very rarely wrong.
But what does “source” even mean. Source being someone associated with the deal and having inside knowledge of the deal? Anything else is just a mate of a mate, or someone I know, or a guy in the pub.
Just a shout out for Llorente, not on anyone’s radar at LFC, but exactly the type of player we need when we play the lower teams. Arsenal have Giroud, a 6.5 of a forward, but very effective when playing against this level…we rarely seem to score from crosses or corners and Llorente is made for this kind of football, as well as being a skilful player with the ball at his feet. Just for a season mind, it’s no long term deal…he just seems to be perfect to fill a gap in our offensive options.
Before we signed Mane and Gini last year, how much speculation, rumor and gossip was there about either of them? The club managed to keep leaks about acquisitions to basically zero. This was fun to listen to but you guys should just do a round of how many liverbirds out of five are each of these!
“Fucking wool as fuck.”
