Rob Gutmann is joined by Neil Atkinson, Adam Smith and Paul Cope to ask whether or not it is time to panic.
Liverpool haven’t done any business since Salah and with pre season approaching would we expect more from The Reds? There also doesn’t seem to be much talk about back up options.

But what’s worth waiting for?
Heh.. you guys should go give a view to the Full Time Devils youtube channel.. that guy is pretty reasonable but his viewers make Reds fans seem sane.. today several of the comments were.. does Mourinho leave if he doesn’t get all of his signings, City have signed all these attackers while we’ve done nothing, and ‘how come we haven’t signed any world class players yet’, etc. etc. so this paranoia is not unique to LFC.. and is there a better reason to calm down then noting that we sound like a bunch of United fans?
Hi Rob & team. Really enjoying The Gutter shows. Keep ’em coming thanks, Bren in Manila
Good chat that lads…
Loads of great points.
I just wanted to add one.
Our previous transfer windows have been very quiet.
So there has to be money available on top of what would be there for this season’s transfer funds.
So given that situation, and given that we are shopping in a small pool of talented, sought after players.
Would it not be better to pay a premium this window, using the stockpiled cash from previous windows, to get 3 out of 4 targets?
Van Dyke for eg….
Keita for eg.
I thought that was the plan for not spending big in previous windows?
When the time is right we could have a little splurge?
Well the time is right.
IMO.
anyway nice one fellas.
I’m fully on side with Rob and his doom and gloom. Every negative he said resonated with me. I’m fully aware we’ll still get players we need for each position. What’s starting to worry me is who. I’ve had some stick for saying this but I’m convinced with Van Dijk and Keita we’ll win the league within 3 years and possibly sooner. At the minute, we haven’t got enough quality. I know it’s controversial but I don’t want our main targets at say, Gini’s level. Great to have him at our club, great player and technically fantastic but he’s not the one that takes us from very good (which we are) to excellent. I’m worried my dreams of this window are fading away.
