LIVERPOOL have smashed Ronnie Koeman and his Christmas Tree again, and here are your ratings…
Simon Mignolet: 7
Very little to do bar the goal, excellent clean catch from Ross Barkley’s only moment of the game after a deflection.
Kicking also noticeably better — longer and faster, fair play to him, he’s totally rebuilt this aspect of his game, taking the ball side on instead of punting it.
Nathaniel Clyne: 7
Shiny, shiny Clyney.
Played with patience and maturity and refused to get involved in the thuggery on offer.
Joel Matip: 8
Immaculate perception.
Dejan Lovren: 7
Immaculate conception.
Lovren won 5/6 of his aerial duels in his own half. Looks like he won 4/5 vs Lukaku. pic.twitter.com/h4cRRrYQuD

James Milner: 7
Shaky 15 in the second period aside, was as steady as ever.
Coolness on the pitch, again, when it threatened to boil over was invaluable.
Offers an unusual and effective outlet coming inside with his right foot, so harder to take possession away as the ball is on the more distant foot.
Lucas Leiva: 9
If this is the big farewell performance, then what a game and performance to go out on.
What a fella.
Emre Can: 8
Targeted from minute one, wasn’t helped by our friend from Greater Manchester in black.
Took a fucking massive kicking and did well to make it through the 90, honestly thought he was going to take a red at one point given the provocation.
Georginio Wijnaldum: 8
The legs of three men.
Filled a massive Jordan Henderson-sized hole today, covered every blade of grass and every gap with imperious discipline.
Sadio Mane: 9
Scared the living daylights out of Everton and nets again, drained the colours out of the faces of their back four every time he picked the ball up.
Picked up a bad one from possibly the only fair tackle of the game from the dogs in blue.
Philippe Coutinho: 10
Fuck the performance off, fuck the goals off, putting Barkley on his arse is the highlight of the season.
Best performance of the season from El Magico by a distance.
Roberto Firmino: 8
Touch, technique, intent and determination.
Harder and more streetwise than he looks.
Needs noting how many times he takes the pressure OFF in tight defensive situations.
SUBS
Divock Origi: 8
Joel Robles still has no idea what the fuck happened.
Needed a goal. Got a goal. Suddenly remembered he’s a fucking grock.
Lovely.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 11
Not sure what his instructions were but absolutely sure they weren’t “TRY AND SCORE EVERY TIME YOU GET THE BALL.”
Loved it.
Ragnar Klavan: N/A
Bramley Moore: 0
Fucking shite, lad.

O Magico
Lovren was sensational, easily motm. The rest is all good.
Enjoy town, I think the last train back to wherever you live will be early.
Hahahahaha. You are very funny.
Clueless, but funny.
Sensational. Man of the match. Hahahahaha
Lucas was my MoM. He was all over everything today. I’m going to be dead sorry when he goes.
Agree! What a legend
Migs bear paw off the deflection across goal was massive. Not enough credit there!
We beat an in-form side without having to extend ourselves. These kind of wins are very sweet.
Matip and Lovren took total care of Lukaku, who didn’t have the fight for Lovren’s aggression in particular.
Lucas is just a gent. An elder statesman. When Barkley was putting himself about like a prick in the first half, Lucas left one on him to shut him up. Stay here until retirement and then join the coaching team lad.
Can was lucky not to pick up an injury considering Everton’s alehouse, ‘we’re shit so we’ll try to injure you’ tactics. Williams is a real snidey carthorse of a player. Nice marking for Origi’s goal…..
Wijnaldum has been such an astute signing. Just a brilliantly rounded footballer.
Mane is a terrifying footballer. Their backline was completely cowed by him. Nice to attempt to stop him from Williams……
Does anyone know if Pennington got that copy of the Echo Coutinho sent him for?
There was no taking care of Lukaku today, let’s be serious. He’s always terrible against the top clubs, he was starved of service and he wasn’t arsed because he wants to leave in 2 months. Klopp could have picked Andy and James Pearce at centreback today and they’d have won headers against Lukaku.
Nah. They took care of him.
He is not “always terrible” against top clubs. A brief look at his record will show goals against Utd, Chelsea, City, Spurs and Liverpool.
Only a few weeks back he scored against Spurs and he also opened the scoring in a 4-0 victory against City a few months back.
Everyone seems to have forgotten the excellent save Mignolet made from a deflected shot from distance at 3-1. Big moment, big save.
Is right.
Bromley Moore 0.
Made me chuckle that!
It would be an act of stupidity to let Lucas go in the summer, together with Can and Gini they bossed midfield, away in Europe next season you want the ability to play that type of midfield, not every game but a midfield that works hard, wins the battle and keeps it simple is a requirement at times during the season
So go and buy someone good. There’s literally 150 midfielders in Europe better than Leiva who was good yesterday after being crap for years.
behave.
I couldn’t love anything more than Trent’s desperation to score against the blue shite. Brilliant when he came on and makes me smile every time he gets the ball. Got something about him that lad
1. Am I dreaming? Wasn’t there a time when we weren’t sure if Migs could kick it over the half-way line?
2. They obviously watched Emre take a kick from Yaya Toure without complaint and decided this was their entire game plan.
3. For some reason, my brain really wants to call the boy “Terrence Trent Alexander-Arnold.” After that, my brain says it wants to see a lot more of that lad.
4. Here’s to hoping that Matip and Lovren can become more than the sum of their parts.
5. This would be a nice time for Coutinho to rediscover his mojo. And Firmino. And Origi. And Can. And Lovren. Oh hell, even Sturridge.
I imagine Ross Barkley is saying to himself, “What the hell do I have to do to get sent off in one of these matches?”
That photo is fucking boss.
They quite literally can’t even do the dogs of war thing properly anymore. Pricks.
Bitterness bitterness……..
Agree with the ratings Andy. Btw being from outside Liverpool I don’t get the Bramley Moore reference.
Nice to see Couts and Origi back to scoring again. I felt bad for Origi seeing the amount of time he gets game time. He must really be out of form or something.
TAA is very daring and I like the way he tries his luck better than most of the players trying the tiki-taka to the goal route.
Migs made that awesome save, otherwise it would have been difficult. He’s been playing well, and I wish he keeps it up.
I know some on here think Lucas is the deal, but I would like to wait until the end of the season to see. If we make Champions League there are better teams than Everton by a mile and more and Lucas isn’t the answer, but certainly appreciate his work on days like this.
Gini looks to be a solid player, and I hope he develops into an even better Dirk Kuyt.
Everton players really don’t have a clue sometimes and their goalkeeper was a clown at best.
I wish Mane and Lallana get well sooner than expected. We need these guys.
Best part of the day was finding out that United drew with their 300 billion pound team against the WBA Bus, and Crystal Palace ala Benteke leaving the plastics with a win.
I wish Arsenal beats City tomorrow. Tough ask, seeing how they’ve been in a slump, but would be really really welcome.
BFC next. Let’s keep our heads on.
Up the Reds!!!
Neither do I think that Matip was better than Lovren nor that it was Coutinho’s best performance of the season. Lucas was boss, of course. Was also very impressed with Firmino’s work rate, especially when we’re considering the fact that he had a very busy schedule.
Lovren was MoM, Clyne was shite (as per) and Everton played a back 3 for 70 mins, but apart from that, a superb review. Up the reds
Not sure how you cant type “Clyne was shite (as per)” and then finish with “Up the reds”.
Some people are just never happy.
