Rob Gutmann is joined in the gutter by Adam Melia, Glenn Price and Craig Hannan to discuss Jurgen Klopp’s alleged summer transfer wish-list: Virgil Van Dijk, Ryan Sessegnon, Naby Keita, Julian Brandt and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Virgil Van Dijk, Ryan Sessegnon, Naby Keita, Julian Brandt and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, just add a hard working number 9 and I would say we would boss the league! Come on reds, any chance we need Champions League!!!
While Sessegnon looks a great prospect, I am wary about his position as immediate replacement for Milner. I have found myself watching a few Fulham games and monitoring their progress this season (Sone Aluko is a surprisingly good player) – from my view Sessegnon has had his game time carefully managed, with the older pro Malone essentially first choice.
In extension, I find it concerning we are building a squad of amazing players supplemented with kids full of potential. Spurs have 2 fantastic full backs and complimented them with solid, if unspectacular, premier league backups. For instance, Markovic may have no real future at the club but would it have benefited the club to call upon him when injuries it? Sure Woodburn will only improve with all the experience he has had this year, but by being a little more pragmatic we could have won more points.
Or not, obviously
We need a statement signing (we need to sign a couple of statements I think). :)
