Desert Island Goals – A new TAW Player show where Andy Heaton sits down with a variety of notable Liverpool fans to ask them about their top three goals, the story around them and a little snapshot of their life at the time.
Joining Andy for a chat for the fourth edition of Desert Island Goals is none other than worldwide superstar, legendary songwriter and more importantly, massive Liverpool fan Mr Elvis Costello, to detail his all-time great three Liverpool goals that have punctuated his life and career.
Desert Island Goals – A boss chat about boss goals with a boss guest.
That was excellent Andy, except where I ended up shouting at me screen: “Shut up rabbiting Andy and let the man speak!”
haha, I was the same to start out. As someone who once made a living interviewing people, it ticks me off when interviewers interrupt the subject, especially when they are on a roll… get someone interesting talking about something they love… and sit back …but it became clear there was a time constraint that was driving that. So yeah, all-in-all excellent interview Andy!
Mike Myers was on a TV show here in the States called Men in Blazers and he commented that he watches the Reds on the Tele while texting his mates John Oliver and Elvis Costello… (which is a story I loved coz that matches my Reds-Watching Experience these days) so hopefully you mined Costello for contacts for future shows with them!!
Some truly cracking interviews lately from you lot. And this one was right up there!
TAW is now how I piss my life away!
Keep up the Great Work.
Best thing I have heard on the AW for yonks. I can forgive Andy for his exuberance as I would have been exactly the same , except I would have had to get in whether the Attractions ever played five a side against the Clash who as legend has it had a formidable team.
Elvis / Declan was spot on about the Las and allowing the lumpen Mancs in to grab the headlines and cash a few years later. See also Shack and the Real People.
I look forward to the next one and pity the interviewer who has to tackle McCulloch!!
Andy, calm down.
Apologies Andy. Had not listened to all of it. I am the same age as Declan. So, all the memories came flooding back. Well done!
