Liverpool back at Anfield with a bang against Arsenal, as predictable as it was enjoyable and joining Neil Atkinson this week to have the final word on the game are Paul Cope and Sean Rogers.
Looking at the game in details, and trying to find grey in the extremes of black and white reportage do Liverpool have Arsene Wenger as much to thank for the result as Jurgen Klopp?
Liverpool winning big and losing small seems to be the narrative, but did Liverpool change the usual big game script against the Gunners?
All this and more on the last look at Liverpool 3 Arsenal 1.
Although you’d take a much needed win any day of the week, it also needed to be said we’re no where near clinical or incisive enough in the box. I counted a good dozen occasions of poor decision making in the final 1/3 many of which by Coutinho who was guilty of chewing the ball something ruthless when a 10 yard through ball would have put Firmino or Mane clean through on their keeper. I just get a hunch theirs a little unrest off the pitch, maybe PC is getting itchy feet or something, I don’t know maybe it’s my imagination trying to decifer what’s causing our enigmatic poor performances.
