Rob Gutmann was joined by Andy Heaton, Ian Ryan and Joel Richards for an in-depth chat about the supposed mounting pressure on Jurgen Klopp.
Having faced criticism from the press around Liverpool’s nightmare January and the clubs collective decision not to sign any reinforcements in the transfer window, is Jurgen really under pressure and has his Liverpool side really been ‘found out’?
All that and more in the latest ‘Unwrapped’.
Seriously?!
No.
I haven’t listened to the show yet but i’m pretty sure they’re not saying ‘klopp out’, mate. There are some sections of the fanbase who are saying ‘klopp out’ however, so I imagine they are debating why people are saying this and critically analysing where the manager has been getting it wrong lately and how he might tackle these issues going forward. That’s my take on it anyway.
Yea I get that, but the fact they’re even discussing it makes me die a little bit inside. Are these ‘fans’ saying this on social media by any chance? Can’t believe it’s actual people going to games. If so they must be unaware it took time for Klopp to turn Dortmund around.
Having said that – there were literally people going to games in 08 wanting Rafa out. We were top of the league, literally. So nothing should surprise me. “If you can’t support us when we lose, don’t support us when we win”.
Regarding the Rodgers bit.
Was Suarez world class before arriving in Liverpool?
give more credit to Brendan guys.
Brendan is a top coach. I think he lost his way with recruitment and got confused tactically at times- didn’t back himself with what worked in 2014. But he definitely improved players technically.
I remember a LFC fan on “5 live’s Football Daily” after the FA cup out against Plymouth. He called for Klopp´s head.
Brendan Rodgers was inexperienced. That was his undoing from my pov.
The guy had heart and I think he really wanted to be a part of LFC in a big way.
I read numerous times when he was compared to David Brent from the office. If he was David Brent then Klopp is the “Neil” character. :)
Klopp out stuff is nonsense and it won’t affect his standing with FSG or at LFC. He is his own man and will handle the pressure better than Rafa and Brendan is my guess.
Great podcast title guys and your discussion lived up to the attention it’d draw- plenty of reasoned and researched analysis without emotionally irrational commentary.
Well worth a relisten in fact.
