Neil Atkinson is joined by Craig Hannan and Dan Austin to talk about the Reds’ dismal 2-0 defeat at the hands of Marco Silva’s Hull City.
Sake, Liverpool.

Cant access on IoS. Couldnt access Chelsea game’s Pink yesterday either.
It’s like watching the 13-14 Chelsea game at Anfield, over and over again.
I’ve not listened to the podcast but could probably sum it up in a couple of sentences. Here goes….
A game played in a manner which has been seen far too often in the last twenty years that came as no surprise to the fans.
We have a lot of mediocre, mentally weak, spineless players with no appetite for the fight.
This game illustrates why we will never win the league.
I hate to be the one to say it but, I’m starting to worry if Klopp will make it to the net window – Hopefully a stupid thought but we have to actually start winning games again. Today was so predictable, we’ve all seen it, how we KEEP getting caught by a sucker punch. I’m glad that we’ll get some breathing space after Spurs so Klopp can get hold of everyone on the training field. How bloody depressing. Still, sod it…..Up the Reds, time to stand up and be counted now lads, stop messing about and put a run together!
*Next* (window)
How depressing, yet predictable was that? Same shit, different day.
Slow, sloppy and a serious lack of belief in the squad.
When Coutinho misses an open target from 4 yards out, you know its just not going to happen.
Would love to know why Emre Can was starting ahead of Gini today.
With all the blocks (8) and clearances (67) and the crowded box, why try the little pass in the box? Where’s the take-on or dribble instead of the cute pass when you know they have 9 pairs of legs in there?
I’m not seeing the runs in and around the box to open a lane or try to get free? We just pass around and cross and then ……..nothing.
And the usual no calls.
Managers, who’d be one, having been one for a few years one of many things I have learned is don’t fudge a decision because it will come back and bite you on the arse eventually however unpopular.
Did not think for a minute Koop was the type to do this but the evidence is starting to say otherwise, not buying an experienced top class keeper, not buying a left back, not making a clear decision on Lucas, not buying a leader wheather a captain or not, not making a clear decision on Sturidge, in general making do and hoping all will work out as per the last transfer window.
My all time favorite player was Ray Kennedy, not as talented as Kenny, not as influential as Souness, not as nutty as McDermott but sheer class, Paisley loved him the players and crowd in equal measure and opponents feared and respected him , but when it was clear in 1982 he was on the wain Paisley had no hesitation in moving him on, although I hated him for it at the time clear clinical desisive decision making possibly even ruthless.
I have heard over the last few weeks that for example we should let Lucas make up his own mind what he wants to do because he has served the club well and is a top bloke, that is not managing it is making a populist decision which at the time might have seemed the right thing to do but in reality is a fudge.
If we truly are going to make a conserted attempt to win this league under Klopp which I personally think we will he will have to make more difficult unpopular decisions , the comforting thing for me is I think results like today will hasten him to this conclusion.
Thanks again lads for taking the time to do the Pink,
IF YOU TAKE A SHIT AND SPRINKLE DIAMONDS ON IT, IT STILL SMELLS OF SHIT TO MANY SHIT PLAYERS
You know that light at the end of the tunnel after the Chelsea draw, turns out it was a fuckin train.
Tough times needs leadership experience a la Gerard Carra Torres
Suarez etc. to battle their way out of it, players who never doubt what’s right what’s wrong. The solution stems from not having 3 or 4 winners down the spine of the side. As long as LFC don’t match the ambition and expectation of the manager and the fans the wheels will continue to fall off, and some. Everyy single time we have a blip. The mole hill will continue to grow into a mountain and the manager of the time will continue to lose his head. Not saying that’s the current situation however Klopp needs to come up with a solution and quick
Tried downloading the Pink on my iOS several times and it’s not working! AFQ from the other day works fine….
Delete it and download again. Working fine now.
Trying my login details on the site and it works fine. Tried adding via podcast app and authentication required keeps coming up!! I’m using the following link to subscribe: https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/player/subscribe
Any ideas? I’ve deleted the original subscription and tried to re-add. Could my password not be synced somehow?
Tried again just now and it works – thanks!
I like the light at the end of the tunnel remark…how true, we are a train wreck at the moment…
Of the players that started the game, how many were Klopp buys? He’s been here how long already? I can’t help but wonder if the lack of transfer spending is a retaliation against the supporters for protesting the increase in ticket prices… Klopp has received small change to spend compared to our other top 4 rivals. I’m saying it now, the FSG model is taking talented managers and breaking them.
What are you on about? FSG are not breaking anyone or retaliating against ticket price hikes. Klopp bought 7 new players, and one of them cost around £30 million pounds. That’s some retaliation.
I suggest we stop comparing to top 4 or 6 rivals, and focus on what the problems are on the field or at least allow Klopp to do his job.
The previous manager Brendan Rodgers had more than enough to spend, but did so unwisely due to lack of experience in the transfer market.
We all have to grit our teeth, be realistic of top 4 goal with what Klopp has left, and support the team and manager over these next 13 or so games. Nothing else until the summer which is when we get to see if what FSG, Klopp and LFC are really up to.
