It’s a joke. Klopp sending a message to FSG: the squad is shit.
Dont’ get mad, look at the crap on the pitch; it’s Rodgers’s dross and children. Sit down, shut up, and fuck off.
Dear god. Serious? That’s what you saw today?
Fair do’s again for doing the show. Too many changes and not enough quality in our squad for that. As much as we all love klopp he’s made a few howlers in the last couple, but time to get behind him and the lads on Tuesday. Come on you reds.
Our ‘fans’ were utter sH1Te today. So much for Neil’s call to arms…
The team wasn’t much better.
The malaise is setting in.
Gareth’s point about the cups is 100% spot on.
Andy H’s about the ‘niceness’ of this group of players (Hendo aside) couldn’t be more correct.
Where’s the streetwise LFC that was emerging a few months back?
Klopp needs pace, has been open about needing pace from the very start.
Pace kills teams: opens them up like knives through butter. Ref Redmond, Long, Costa today…and Mane most games when he’s with us.
Without pace, at best we are mediocre. At worst we are what we’ve been this week.
Gareth is right: Jurgen has squeezed a lot out of this bunch and we have outperformed.
Perhaps this is all for the best. The reality check – to convince us, and the owners – that doing this on the cheap is not going to work. One week’s evidence is surely enough. We simply cannot break teams down without it.
I’m watching Arsenal ripping Southampton apart with their 2nd string. We wouldn’t be able to do this. Our squad needs to be bolstered.
Klopp got it wrong today.
Needed some of our better players in that line up to make sure this one doesn’t go pear-shaped.
Coutinho comes on at half-time, if he’s got 45-60 in him then why isn’t he starting?
Wijnaldum and Lucas were laughable, don’t think they even realised we were losing and desperate for a goal.
Moreno just the usual self… tackling with his left leg, despite his right leg being the obvious choice. The lad doesn’t even understand that he needs to stay wide. Continuously cutting onto his right foot is baffling.
Feel for Klopp. All about Tuesday now. We’re desperate for a result!!!!!!
Fuckin hell, at this rate we won’t even make the top friggin 10; never mind the CL. Gareth’s right about the momentum issue and our ‘momentum’ is in the elevator on the way to the fuckin basement. Some fucker needs to take responsibility on the fuckin pitch. Watching them take the piss stealing yards for thrun-ins and dead balls – fuck sake, get a grip and get in the ref’s face. Where’s yer pride LFC?
Guys do not fall for the excuses of the club and manager. I find it hard to believe that in the whole of world football (earth) there just isn’t any players that could have came in and improved our squad in January. The people who are responsible for transfers i.e. Ian Aire have a lot to answer for. What really gets said in his meetings. If any former manager doesn’t perform there is consiquenses but not at all for him Has he done a good job ? NO
Agree with Gareth about the cups, one trophy in 10 years in unacceptable and for me, as a match going Red, my best memories have been cup finals not just finishing top 4.
Also agree don’t think we are that far off, first 11 will challenge most but we need strength in depth and additional 2 or 3 could make a massive difference. Not fair to put pressure on the talented kids as I think Andy said, it could ruin them longterm coming into a struggling side.
Over to FSG then!!
Of course Its great to win a Cup up but I simply want us to win the League and of that means sacrificing a cup run to rest players for a key game in the league then so be it. People can bang on all they want about the importance of how winning a Cup would bring greater success in the League but in the past 15 years winning the Cup/League double has only happened twice for the FA Cup and 3 times for the League Cup and last season Leicester City went out in the second round of the League Cup and the 5th round of the FA cup and yet they did alright in the league.
If I had to choose between winning a cup or finishing 4th i would pick 4th every time. 4th gets you into the champions league and that is a far more attractive option to new potential players than winning a domestic cup the previous season.
There is a lot I could say about this match but the main thing I want to talk about is Wijnaldum. What a disgraceful performance. Yes in a good functioning team he is quite good but all this bullshit for the first half of the season talking about how fantastic he is was utter bullshit. The whole making people who say they don’t see what he does feel like idiots by going on and on about his value to the team was ridiculous. Today he was like John Barnes in his final years with us except without the craft and desire and if anything slower. Even 2 nil there was zero urgency when making his 5 yard square passes. A disgrace.
We have got some good young players but they need to come in to a functioning tezm 1 or 2 at a time to give them a chance.
p.s this website still makes me want to smash my phone at least twice a week. It’s slower than Wijnaldum and twice as frustrating try to get to the latest podcast.
Utter bolox. If it wasn’t for the genius of Guttman I would unsubsribe.
Agree and disagree on transfers. Klopp did say no one is selling the players he wants. Other top clubs are not buying players either. There is an argument other clubs want top money from top English clubs for there top players which Liverpool and most other clubs won’t pay.
Well that was embarrassing! Definitely feels like groundhog day right now. However it amazes me how fickle fans are. It was only a few weeks ago people were saying how excellent this team is. Liverpool are just going through their bad spell in the season which most teams have. It doesn’t make them a bad team all of the sudden. It amazes me how a few bad results and everyone is questioning Klopp’s decisions and saying that the squad isn’t good enough. It wasn’t long ago people were saying how strong our squad is now compared to last season. I think Liverpool have played reasonably well in some of the games recently. Maybe not as well as earlier in the season but then earlier in the season teams weren’t parking the bus every game making it more difficult to create chances. Also not having Mane makes a difference especially when Sturridge and Origi are off form. I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. I don’t think you can read too much into the Wolves defeat considering it was our second string bar 3 players. The only thing that is annoying is that Liverpool don’t seem to be learning from the past few games. When teams keep parking the bus and trying to hit us on the counter attack then Liverpool keep making it too easy for the opposition by throwing too many players forward and teams keep picking us off. Liverpool should keep more players back when attacking so as not to get caught on the counter. They seem a bit too gung ho at the moment and are forgetting their defensive duties. If Klopp can sort the defensive side out then they’ll be fine. Just hope it’s sooner rather than later.
This was the best Pink of the season.
