Rob Gutmann is joined by Adam Smith, Dan Vincent and Josh Sexton for the first Gutter of 2017 and the last one of Gutmann’s 40’s, I think if you’re reading this you should personally wish the man himself a Happy Birthday, but that’s just me.
Anyway, with the so far chilly transfer window already upon us, the panel have a chat about the transfer in and out chatter of the week, including –
Joe Hart, reportedly keen on a switch to Liverpool, but would such a move even be possible?
Kasper Schmeichel, son of Man United legend Peter and previously available on a free transfer, Leicester have taken the unusual step of addressing the story and issuing a firm hands off, could something be brewing in the background?
Emile Forsberg, who you ask? Well, let us tell you all about Red Bull Leipzig flyer that has been linked with the Reds.
Jesé, the Real Madrid forward, could he paint a picture for the Reds, you could guarantee his dreams are never free.
Lucas, should he stay or should he go now?
Gutmann, looking good for 50 isn’t he?
– The Gutter descends into the depths of tabloid transfer tittle-tattle and website waffle. It can be murky down here, but we look to give you our assessment of what might be the flaming torch of truth in the darkness – and what could just be flaming nonsense. Joe Hart. Actually laughing out loud listing to this. Anyone recall him throwing the ball in his own net from a Lallana pea roller at Anfield last year? Or throwing the ball in his own net from a pathetically weak Bale free kick against Wales? This show does my head in, really does.
No point in looking for sympathy Rob. Those younger than you think turning 50 is funny, those older think you’re a crybaby. So from me to you…Happy Birthday and Man Up Gutmann!
Happy birthday, Rob. I hope you enjoy another half century, at least, in good health. As someone who has passed the milestone myself, I can tell you that life does get better after 50. You don’t have to be as ambitious or strive as hard, you realize your limitations but learn to enjoy more your capabilities, and, generally, can relax more and appreciate the beauty of life itself.
What the f**k is up with site now…carnt get pod cast to hear the ridiculous guttman and bulls hit about who we will sign….
If you don’t like the show – which is about rumours, 95% of which will never happen as we all should know by now – then why bother listening, instead of ragging on the boys who do a great job assessing who’s suitable and who isn’t??
Hart dipped in form but is a quality keeper, end of. He will have worked hard no doubt on his serious weakness low to his left which James (comment above) references – a weakness which saw him ship several goals he ought to have stopped. I’d like him in the Summer unless the Minger has a blinder until April ;-)
As for Forsberg and Promes, both are really good. I like the former becuase he’s intelligent, totally two-footed, plays with his head up, slick, intelligent, great eye for and weight of pass. He’s a quicker Lallana, and reminds me of Eriksen a bit too.
Promes is a bit more one-footed, cutting back onto his right a lot, and therefore more predictable – but PhilCo does that for us way too much also, and he’s still a decent enough player.
I’d love either lad to be signed in this window.
The whole point is I’m trying to listen…Adrian….but I carnt …you suck…yes the lads do, do a good job don’t they…but I can’t get onto the pod cast…it’s just frustration …a fickle fan…no offence Rob…
