A VERY different sort of win, but isn’t that what we craved? Backs to the wall. Resolute. The Reds don’t mind it up ’em. Throw the kitchen sink and we’ll volley it over the gasworks. Unlucky, you Manc bastards. Have a go next year.
Simon Mignolet: 10
He saves to the left…
He saves to the RIGHHHTTTT…
That Simon Mignolet…
Makes Clemence look shite.
Nathaniel Clyne: 7
Didn’t have much chance to go forward but didn’t give anything away at the back. He’s sound you know
James Milner: 8
Was marking the best player on the pitch. Did brilliantly. His intercept and pass first half to Firmino deserved an assist. Even if the stats won’t give him one.
Dejan Lovren: 7
Started slowly but grew into it. Terrific last 20. He’s sound you know.
Ragnar Klavan: 7
Looked the worst player on the pitch for a while but then he really stepped up. Covered his full backs superbly.
Jordan Henderson: 7
Pray 4 Jordan.
Emre Can: 8
Really really really good.
Georginio Wijnaldum: 9
My hero, my mate. Up for a neck New Year’s, lad? Meet you in Popworld.
Bobby Firmino: 7
Didn’t see loads of it but keeps it brilliantly. Will have more fun days.
Sadio Mane: 8
Real tough performance. Left everything on the pitch. In a bit, Sadio. Stay safe.
Adam Lallana: 7
Nothing flashy but was back and forth in position without fuss. Player of the year.
Subs:
Divock Origi: 7
Ran channels. Bashed lads. Kept balls. He’s sound you know.
Lucas Leiva: n/a
Didn’t throw his boots in The Kop so might be around for a while yet. Hope so. He’s sound you know.

Thought Bobby was poor. Lots of effort but should have taken Milners pass and should have released Lallana while he was still onside. Do those two simple things and we are out of sight. I’ll give him 5 at a push, but no more.
I’m praying.
The name is Milner
James Milner.
I thought Mane struggled. He’s always dangerous and doing something valuable even when he’s not, but wasn’t his best day. It was Wijnaldums best day by a large margin, and he’s been growing every week. Doesn’t seem like Jurgen makes too many miscues on transfers…he would have been my bet at the start of the season but I’m happy to be wrong.
so proud of our Lads
The back four were all solid,Ming had nothing to do,Wijnaldum was MOM,Mane was average,Henderson ok,Can was fucking awful! But we won so who’s arsed
Thought Klavan was much much better than that, and thought Can and Firmino being worse, Can being much much worse, borderline awful. Klavan is our first choice centerback at the moment. He’s been absolutely immense and always up for it. Covers for Lovren so much and covers for the fullbacks allowing them to push further forward. Wijnaldum put in one of the best performances of anyone all year even without the goal. Still don’t feel like we’ve played particularly well and yet we’ve beat the pre-season favorites to win the league relatively easily. Roll on
8 for Emre Can? Someone started the new year drinks very early.. Ha! 5 for him at most.
8 for Mane was also generous. 6 imho.
Bump Lovren and Klavan up to 8 each. The other ratings are sound, you know.
Up the 2017 scrappy winning Reds
The name is Milner
James Milner
Thought klavan was outstanding and firmino struggled. Otherwise agreed.
The name is Milner

Two things:
The name is Simon “keepie-uppies” Mignolet… did to Aguerro what Pepe could not!
