Because he can’t help himself, Rob Gutmann has ripped up the show schedule, ripped up unwrapped and lashed it in his filthy gutter.
Joining Rob on his journey from salacious to the incredibly tenuous are Jay McKenna, Melissa Reddy and Dan Austin.

“What do we do when every is fit in February?”
Where is the evidence everyone is going to be fit in February if they’re not fit now? Origi, Sturridge, Lallana, Coutinho all don’t have great injury records.
Mel went on all summer in every show about how we don’t need anyone else because we’ve got Danny Ings, and he’s gone again. Now we’re talking about we’ve got Joe Gomez to come back, he could well struggle like Flanagan did.
Really don’t want to end another season thinking “what if we’d strengthened in January…”. I’d be happy to spend £X million for someone to play 4/5 games if it means trophies at the end.
Makes for a bit of a full show guys if it’s just a bunch of naysaying. I get that of all the transfers we talk about only a tiny percentage are even being considered but maybe don’t do the show if you don’t want to actually discuss the targets and their genuine probability. Maybe don’t have co tributors on who haven’t ever seen them. Mels good to hear from as she actually knows the players a little and tries to disect the plausibility from both the angle of the clubs actual approaches thus far and whether a player will fit. There’s lots to talk about with tranfsers in terms of what we may need and what is being put forward in the media and normally this show is good at discussing what could be of use and also only discussing targets bordering on reasonable. Most of the points being made are good and interesting to hear but it’s the “this whole show and premise is ridiculous why are we even bothering ” tone this time around that made it a real bore. I couldnt finish this one as got a bit sick of it.
Don’t let them get you down rob…or is it up from the gutter? Stay down? Something like that.
Just some thoughts , trying to give critical feedback as opposed to whinging so hope that came across.
Celtics Dembele being linked today. £20m.
There are examples of players hitting the ground running after the winter window. Sturridge and Coutinho anyone. I think Rob was a bit hard done by there. There’s a great insight from Mel into what is going on in the club but where does the press release end and the analysis start. Surely Jurgen, his team and the club in general are not always strangers get up with the press?
