Our immediate post-match show is the most explosive of reactions to Liverpool’s most recent game. Recorded before the ink is close to drying, it is the show to hear The Anfield Wrap at it most full-throated whether joyous in victory or broken in defeat. The filth and the fury comes to the fore as those who have just been watching the Mighty Reds get themselves in front of a microphone and try to make sense of 90 minutes of sheer hell without their Isotonic Lucozade Sport.
Gareth Roberts, Rob Gutmann, Josh Sexton and Shaun Walsh dive into Robbo’s car to talk about the Reds’ safe passage through to the fourth-round of the EFL Cup, after beating Nigel Pearson’s Derby County 3-0 at Pride Park.
I don’t really get the problem with fans singing Garcia or Gerrard songs. Does it matter that they have moved on? Isn’t it more like singing about past glories? Stevie Highway doesn’t play on the wing anymore and I’d rather not talk about what happened to that poor scouser Tommy. And yes I know he didn’t actually play! I get the reminding opposing fans about the slip but shouldn’t that just encourage us to sing more? And I know there are lines, it pissed me off in Basel that the Torres song kept doing the rounds! And yes it’s a travesty that Daniel Sturridge doesn’t have a song to speak off but isn’t the issue more that fans aren’t thinking of new songs rather than that they are singing about past players? We should be happy that some sections are actually making noise in the first place!
Glad you lot mentioned the songs. That Stevie one needs to stop. Klopp chant is wool. Get Firmino a proper one.
Right. But before that, get Sturridge a song already. Mane has one and he’s been here like half an hour!
Perhaps Karius’ ‘Mignolet-like touch and feel means he should be training separately from the workman like Belgian….
How about a song named ‘Blitzkrieg Klopp’ to the tune of Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones. You heard it here first.
‘We’re singing in the Albert,
Singing in the Main stand,
The Kop are losing their minds
Blitzkrieg Klopp’
Not a fan of singing Gerrards name all the time either.
” I think we should make light of that we’re in a cold night in Derby for them ” …Thanks. Hardcore Journalism, I’d expect nothing less for my monthly 5 quid.
Ok, thanks.
