Our immediate post-match show is the most explosive of reactions to Liverpool’s most recent game. Recorded before the ink is close to drying, it is the show to hear The Anfield Wrap at it most full-throated whether joyous in victory or broken in defeat. The filth and the fury comes to the fore as those who have just been watching the Mighty Reds get themselves in front of a microphone and try to make sense of 90 minutes of sheer hell without their Isotonic Lucozade Sport.
Neil Atkinson was joined by Rob Gutmann and Giulio Canetti after Liverpool’s limp surrender to the Burnley will massive.
Burnley drags Liverpool down to their level…and kills them. Klopp says he wants to do that to the big teams…but what is the plan when our level is higher than the opposition, and the opposition is happy to sit in and wait for our mistakes and catch us on the break?
What are you eating?
I feel liverpool always have these problems playing against the lesser teams we park the bus
KLOPP has struggled to come up with the solution to win these type of games.
Just as expected liverpool could do well this season and finish in the top 4 but equally could finish 6-7 again so unpredictable.
Still time and still money to add to the squad before the transfer window slams shut
We are now in a profit with all the players we have let go
If we constantly fail in games and loose points the first thing that will be talked about is the club being in profit during a transfer window
I can see us scoring and winning Tottenham next week and playing well
Confusion. Doubt. Indecision.
A horrible mess. Everyone on different frequencies when it came to the final pass. Trying not to be too pessimistic. A collective-brain-fart day at the office. I believe they tried..they really did..100% but they didn’t believe 100%..and the belief was visibly all but gone from about halfway through the 2nd. Not good enough. I don’t think Klopp will stand for such a weak display of mental fortitude again. He’ll be in their head’s all week. I expect snarling savage beasts in the next game. Lookout Spurs. (league cup aside, it will be a different team and comp.)
My first time on the site, this is a great feature, just like sitting in the pub discussing the match.
However I’m so depressed, having listened to Pat Nevin’s astute analysis on R5 match commentary, and then you lads who had actually been to the match.
Am I the only one who is beginning to doubt? After 2 matches we are chasing the leaders, new foreign managers have got 100%, as have some who have swapped clubs and HULL have 6 points.
If you read your previews you knew how Burnley were going to play. We had a whole week to train, plan and motivate for this game and failed. Would it have been any different if we had played at Anfield?
