Mane And Ojo Injuries

Good news for Raymond the fitness egg today. Bad news for Liverpool fans.

Earlier today it was confirmed that Sheyi Ojo is set to be sidelined for a month, after scans revealed the youngster has fractured a bone in his back. Somebody should probably tell Raymond that Ojo didn’t have much of a pre-season, what with the U19s Championships and his injury shortly after his return, so Jürgen probably isn’t to blame.

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane has suffered an injury scare in training. The Senegalese winger injured his shoulder after a collision at Melwood this afternoon, and was taken to hospital. Gutted. Worth noting, though, that it’s an impact injury. Also not Jürgen’s fault, Raymond.

Karius Fitness Update

Get on this, Raymond. Loris Karius has been on Twitter today posting videos of the fitness work he is undertaking at Melwood, showing fans that he is on the road to recovery after suffering a broken hand in a collision with Dejan Lovren in pre-season.

Paisley And Hillsborough Tributes

The new Main Stand is coming along nicely, and today the eternal flame Hillsborough memorial was put into its new place outside the stand, having been placed in safe storage in January.

The club have also revealed that there will be tributes to the 96 victims of the disaster, as well as former manager Bob Paisley as part of the redevelopment project. The new 96 Avenue will link Walton Breck Road with Stanley Park, while Paisley Square will be situated in the area where The Kop and the new stand meet.

A nice touch from the club.
