THE morning after the night before, Neil Atkinson is joined by Sean Rogers and Rob Gutmann to dissect Liverpool’s 3-0 victory against Villarreal in the Europa League semi final.
The lads analyse the key performers and the big moments. They discuss Villarreal’s approach and how it played into the hands of certain Liverpool players. They talk about how the atmosphere may have effected the home and away side.
Then we are over to The Championship. Middlesbrough play Brighton this weekend in a ‘winner takes all’ fight for Premier League status. Writer and ‘Boro fan Daniel Gray is in the North East to give us the view from the home side. He’s nervous but confident. But nervous. Very nervous.
We’ve also got Brighton fan Alan Wares from the radio show Albion Roar. Alan describes his feelings ahead of the game and reflects on an incredible season for The Seagulls, that no-one predicted.
Next in an action packed Friday Show we speak to Watford fan Adam Drury who gives us the lowdown on how Liverpool’s opponents are shaping up ahead of Sunday’s game, and how seriously The Hornets are likely to take the game. We big up Troy Deeney, but Adam reveals the player likely to beat him to be awarded Watford player of the year.
Finally, it’s back to the studio with Neil, Sean and Rob as they evaluate how Liverpool should approach the game. Should Klopp rest all 11, or is there a danger that they might go into a European final undercooked? Are some of Liverpool’s players in need of time on the pitch, or should we be wrapping them in cotton wool?

Excellent show, still buzzing from last night and was really looking forward to this,
Totally agree with Rob on his bigging up of Firmino, his enthusiasm to rob the ball back sneakily seems to encourage others to follow suit & he rarely lost it cheaply last night which is the main gripe against him recently,
I think it’s been a hugely encouraging debut season considering the injuries he’s also suffered,
Emre fuc*king can eh !!??
Can.not.believe the level this guy has reached,
Amazingly, you can now name Lovren, Can & Big Div as a decent young spine to build around for years to come, an amazing transformation that has the much derided channel 5 Europa cup to thank for,
I hate this snobbery towards European silverware, the Cup winners cup had a bloody good aura when I was growing up discovering footie as a kid,
Anyhow my point is this, sometimes individuals & groups need cup runs to find themselves & mount League campaigns,
I don’t think you can have one without the other,
You need to be able to do both,
Klopp will have us competitive on all fronts In time.
Emre’s first 30 mins is the most complete midfield performance I can recall. Lovren looks like some sort of defensive Adonis. And Firmino is genuinely nudging Coutinho as more dangerous attacking force. What can explain these player transformations ? Intense stroll. I think the final will be a great game and thinking of nothing else. And let me say the journey has been genuinely enhanced by your contributions TAW and for that sincere thanks guys and gals.
Don’t get this with Firmino, on thursday he was top draw. Won it back constantly always looked threatening and kept the ball well. If your watching that and not noticing him, I worry for you, what were you watching. If you don’t love Firmino then there is something wrong with you.
