ROB GUTMANN is joined by Adam Smith, Ian Salmon and Tony Evans to preview another make or break few days in LFC’s season in this week’s ‘Unwrapped’.
Imminent is the second leg of Liverpool’s Europa League tie with Manchester united.
The reds go to Old Trafford on Thursday with a 2 -0 lead.
What will Jurgen’s plan be? Can Van Gaal get a performance out of this United side.
Three days after our ‘biggest game of the season’, Liverpool face Southampton in a match that could end LFC’s hopes of a champions League qualification.
Victory over the Saints, with rivals engaged in big games this weekend, could put the reds right back in the mix. Klopp’s squad is looking fit and fresh, but 2 games in 3 days will be a further test of the manager’s juggling skills.
Hi I am from Cape town South Africa and a life long Liverpool fan I was working night shift last week when the first leg took place and are so looking forward to the second leg. You guys over in England do not realize how we here in Cape Town absolutely hate losing to Utd so I was very happy, nothing my crappy boss said the following day could and would have spoilt my day. So this week I am day shift and let’s go do it again boys.
Scouser for life.
Annnnd Guttman’s off (with a history grad joke…… staying clear of anything suggesting ‘Adam Smith’shidden hand’) – see Keynes…or don’t, (I wouldn’t!) :)
Off by a century but still a decent gag, maybe tired for Adam but……
ps- Best pod of the week (consistently), and the UEFA cup definitely sounds better.
If you want your subscribers to be happy and satisfied- keep tony Evans as far away from your studio as possible.
On the other hand rob guttman is boss.
I must be in the minority but i completely disagree on the thoughts about top 4. If we beat Everton (our game in hand), then it puts us 2 points behind West Ham and 4 behind a City side that i now believe will have almost all of it’s priority on the Champions League! Also West Ham go to the Bridge this weekend and Chelsea are currently in cracking form!
Based on our current form and the current feeling around the club, if we go through tonight i think we’ll be on such a high that it could get us top 4. Not to forget that Arsenal are currently an absolute mess and i completely disagree with Rob about them winning the league!
They have Everton this weekend, City play United and West Ham play Chelsea. If we win at Southampton, we will close the gap and still have a game in hand! Evans seriously needs to fuck off with his horrendous pessimism! Why should Palace have gone the other way? Leicester have won so many fucking games this season by 1 goal and you’re fucking drooling over them! They have Kante, Mahrez and Vardy! Huth and Morgan are shit! Simpson is shit! Schmeichael isn’t a special keeper! Drinkwater has had a great season but is still just a semi decent player playing way above his natuarl ability! Fuck me they’ve had an absolutely unbelievable season and they deserve so much credit for it but i’m sorry, it’s been a monumental fluke!
Love Tony Evans and what he has to say, would like him to be on more often
God, who thought it was a good idea to let Tony Evans in with his 1970’s views on football.
Marginalise members of transfer committee.
Transfer committee can’t spot a player.
Can’t win with transfer committee players.
Get someone I who can spot a Premier League player.
Give it a rest Tony.
