NEIL ATKINSON was joined by David Downie, Gareth Roberts and Andy Heaton to preview tonight’s Europa League Round of 16 2nd leg tie between Manchester United and Liverpool.
Liverpool have a two goal lead to hold but will it be enough? Heaton’s head progressively falls off over the duration of the show, unable to shake the ghost of United comebacks past — will the Reds be punished for over-confidence?
Robbo is as calm as he’s ever been for a game against ‘that rabble’, convinced that United have shot their bolt and don’t have it in them to get back into the tie.
Top Red Dave Downie offers his calm assessment of the tie, too. It’s a big match preview show all skilfully handled as ever by Neil in the chair.
Nervous?
You bet.
I wish i was as calm and confident as Robbo, (great Manc impression just the right amount of snide) Unfortunately I’m with Heaton in the head fall off camp, always have been since that cup final in 77, went through a 10 year period of not watching these games from 93-2004, fell of the wagon for the 96 cup final and soon remembered why i avoid these games, desperatly want us to go through and it to be 11.00pm. I know they are shite and we are boss but I am only happy watching these games the day after, when we have won.
