GIBBO and Robbo are on hand for your daily round-up, and they’ve got a press conference to get stuck into.
Seems like Jurgen Klopp is going to pick a young side again, but is that right? Does it feel like a few positions could do with some experience? The lads debate the pros and cons.
They also get into the comments about Jerome Sinclair. His contract, his future and his hunger for games of football.
Finally they respond to Didi Hamann’s comments that Liverpool should be more honest about Daniel Sturridge. Do paying fans have a right to know?
The game is on BT sport?
So it is. Sound, my mistake. Seemed some doubt over it the other day.
The Jan window closes in 2 weeks. I would hope that by the end of this time, the club is being honest and open to the fans about how they have improved our goal-scoring options for the remaining 25 games or so.
There are no excuses we have struggled to score goals for too long now
We are half way through the transfer window. A time where we could help our team by adding a striker that 1 can score goals and 2 is fit to play games for LFC
Once again this transfer comitee shows its incompitance.
We as a club are in a really bad state and I fear Klopps job is gonna be a lot harder than he first thought when he walked in the door
Simple facts we are not the club we all hope us to be
We will never again bid or buy top
Quality players with this current set up FSG have created
If we could sign one striker in January, who would you want that seems realistic? I agree our goalscoring problems need to be fixed, I’m just struggling to think of a striker that could come in right now.
I think it would be useful if we all paid attention to the questions Klopp is being asked during these pre- and post-match press conferences and, more importantly, to the answers he gives.
However much you/we may think that the ‘solution’ to our goal-scoring, chance-conversion difficulties is “another player”, a player who “knows where the goal is”, etc, Klopp has other ideas, and he makes thoughtful, extensive cases for those alternative ideas.
I, and many others, complained about the utter illogical nonsense that BR spoke at times. It would be neat if we actually now paid attention and sought to comprehend fully what Klopp, who almost never talks nonsense (basically never, even when I disagree with him, e.g. in re Mignolet), says during interviews and press conferences.
Lads
Great round up as normal.
Nice that Jürgen will gives the kids another go.
He should rest most, if not all the senior players.
He should definitely play , Ojo, Brad Smith, Brannigan, Rossiter, Sinclair etc, give them a chance.
I think a few of them will make their mark to be honest and it’s up to them to convince Jürgen Klopp that they have a right to be considered for the first team.
This applies to all the players are looking at leaving the club, and they need to put up or shut up and leave.
