IN a late night post Capital One Cup Semi-Final Second leg review, Neil Atkinson is joined in the studio for ‘The Pink’ by Phil Blundell, Paul Senior and Craig Hannan as Liverpool progressed after a long night against Mark Hughes’ Stoke City on penalties to book a place in the Capital One Cup Final against either Everton or Manchester City at Wembley.
Tell Yer Ma.
In a free clip from tonight’s ‘The Pink’- Phil Blundell, Neil Atkinson, Paul Senior and Craig Hannan discuss the penalty shoot-out and how it might just give Simon Mignolet the confidence he needs to kick on.

Who said that Flano did not have a good game? Was it Paul Senior?
Was he the same person who said “they sort of beat us”?
They scored off an offside goal.
And Flano handled Arnautovic very well.
I am not even going to address whoever shat on Lucas’s performance. I think that was the same person.
Whoever that was should stop watching the match on Braille.
I’m having a pint with my mates because we’re going to a cup final mate, you’re sat talking to yourself, fuming on a website.
I don’t know how this’d look in Braille but Get an ale down you and enjoy the moment. Up the Reds.
Miserable tw*t you!
Firstly, you keep on going on about the amount of games were playing but it’s about time someone credited you all with the amount of shows your producing to keep up. Thanks for the hard work!
On the subject of the team selection I feel Klopp is Hamstrung (sorry) by the injuries we’ve got. Allen’s great at holding the ball up but he’s not as dynamic as Henderson, I think Klopp is desperate to get people around Firmino.
It was a terrible performance, no question but the sheer amount of games were playing must be taking its toll as there’s no one to rotate. I reckon Hughes was suckered by the 4 we conceded at the weekend, went all out to bombard us but stifled his own side in doing so.
Neils minaj bit at the end was fantastic. This edition of the pink summed it up well. Yes we were terrible but were off to Wembley! Up the reds!
Great show as usual! I’ve really been enjoying all of the analysis of the games and I feel like I’ve gained more of an understanding of the beautiful game from listening to you lads.
I know the pink is an off the cuff, reactionary type show, but I am a bit puzzled about the analysis of the stoke team selection. I can’t quote the show or even who said what, but there was a point made that Stoke played the wrong type of team after the first leg game. They tried to to ‘out football’ us and we came off the better as we had superior footballers. It was suggested that we would have struggled a lot more against a Crouch and Walters combo up front.
Perhaps Mark Hughes was listening? Perhaps he wasn’t. But it’s I found it puzzling that Stoke where criticised on this show for doing exactly what was suggested they should do on a previous show. Like I said, I can’t remember who said what and it might have been a different set of lads on each show.
I know that contradictions will happen all the time, I just thought this one stuck out in my mind.
Keep up the great work!
