A tech-hit Tuesday Review this week with Neil Atkinson, Paul Cope and Sean Rogers chewing the fat over another Liverpool score draw.
The sound may be a bit iffy, but the show, as ever, spot on.

Please tell the guy who always talks about his own football team to stop
I’m a big fan of the anfield wrap and love listening to you guys but I switch off every time the guy talked about his own team and this happens every time he is on.
I’m a liverpool fan and I’m not interested in his team
Not a big thing but tell him to stick to Lfc talk that’s why we all tune in
Sean talks about the team he manages because he is a manager and is assessing things from the perspective of a manager. It’s a huge basis for this particular show, Andy. And the feedback we get says that is one of the big reasons why people like it. The idea around TAW Player is that every show probably isn’t going to appeal to every single subscriber, and that most people will pick and choose. It’s impossible for us to aim to please everyone as I’m sure you can appreciate mate.
Spot on. There are some shows that i don’t listen too as often, but always Tuesday Review; an integral part of which are Sean’s insights from a management perspective, so don’t change it. Ta.
Haha yeah. Totally agree mate.
Keep talking about the football team. Football isn’t just “the EPL” . Lower league football sides are allowed to have tactics and strategies as well.
I think that sometimes you all forget that this team isn’t a particularly good one. We all want that to change but for the time being, there will be copious mistakes being made.
Not to pick on this show in particular but Moreno and Can are very easy targets because they are aggressive players…in terms of mentality of playing the game.
So when it doesnt work, they look wasteful.
Personally, I can tell when the participants on the Tuesday Review simply watched the game live and then consulted (perhaps) the statistics and dashboards vs watched it live and then watched it again carefully and without the emotional burdens normally associated with watching one’s favorite club live, or just watched it once but later, knowing the score already.
When the ‘explanation’ put forth for why we didn’t win a game we only drew because the opposition unexpectedly and weirdly won three 50-50s comes down to “leadership”, you just know there’s no a whole lot of ‘analysis’ being offered.
Sean Rogers contribution to the Anfield wrap is, in my opinion, stellar. Considering the percentage of the population who actually get to coach and manage a team in the UK, his insight and comparisons to his own situation I find both interesting and entertaining. There are many of us who consider ourselves knowledgeable enough to air our two penneth, but here is a lad who is actually putting his ideas to the test every week. Keep up the good work Sean.
To expaand on this, everyone offers opinions and points with little to no evidence (which is fine, although can get tiresome especially on the lfc forums). Sean uses his experience to support his points which make them more reliable, more interesting and probably more valid.
One of strengths of TAW is that people usually illustrate their points very well, you don’t get the lazy ex-pro punditry instead you get a variety of views and opinions from people that have watched a lot of football. This is one of the shows I enjoy most
Love this panel and another incredible show. Sean gives great insight week after week and definitely opens my eyes to a new perspective every week. Paul’s passion is infectious and always gets me on board, could convince me we’re going to win the title even if we lost the next 10 games. Neil the perfect host as always. Cheers gents for another great show, keep it coming
