Doff your cap, ladies and gentlemen, because John Gibbons crosses the rubicon on this week’s Rider. He plays a song longer than ten minutes and the song he plays is an absolute belter.
That closes the show because we can’t take any chances but before then Neil Atkinson, Stephanie Heneghan and Adam Melia also play some crackers. Nine songs only because of Gibbons, but that’s alright when all nine demand your attention.
You want more? Talk of Adele, talk of Pulp, talk of Yacht. Yacht thought the future would be cooler. They need to listen to The Rider more often.
It’s great new music allied with lovely cul-de-sac-y conversation. I spy a boy…

– The venue for Hawley was unreal. It’s just been sitting there unbeknownst to seemingly everyone. Ridiculousness.
– That Lower Dens tune is great.
– Adele is boring. “Oooh look at me, I’m this age, I’m that, boohoo!” I’m not watching her probably boring video.
