NEIL ATKINSON is joined by Steve Armstrong, Phil Blundell, John Gibbons and Ian Salmon to discuss United so far this season and their similarities with The Reds.
Also there is an excerpt from the interview The Anfield Wrap had with Paul Walsh this week done with Mike and Gill Nevin.’
It takes the best Liverpool sides I’ve seen in ’09 and ’14 (who ultimately fall just short then disintegrate – as opposed to like, I don’t know, win a title like United did over and over to the point of their own boredom) to win at Old Trafford… United were shite last season and still found themselves leathering us in spite of themselves. Without Coutinho we may as well ask Danny Murphy to dust his boots off.
All due respect because he seems sound, but Steve Armstrong doesn’t know he’s born with this ‘style of play’ gear. I’d have Andy Carroll and Rickie Lambert upfront with the football that entails if it meant winning anything at this stage in the game. Mad how long the Glazers have owned them; you forget all about it because they were winning under Ferguson and are now spending huge fees to fill the void (recently on a kid no one’s even heard of). Ferguson didn’t care enough about United long term as long as he was winning, did he? Was belter when he washed his hands of Moyes being his shout as well.
I hope you lads were able to escape the well in which you recorded this podcast.
Poor quality audio on this one ?
sounded like Ian Salmon has turned into a Dalek!
