NEIL ATKINSON was joined by John Gibbons, Mike Girling, Karl Coppack and Joe Connolly for this week’s CityTalk show.
On the agenda this week is form, fans and especially flags as the club seem, yet again, to be determined to drive a wedge between themselves and the club’s support.

Wow, I am hoping someone can come up with a theory as to why the club seems to be consistently making bizarre decisions that make no sense. From Enron to the banking debacle, we know that being named to a board does not guarantee said person has a fucking clue what they are doing. This is just sad, you mentioned the plight of the Syrian refugees so in the real sense it is a trifling matter, but bloody hell, talk about cowards, at least give us an explanation. Register? To make and wave a flag? What comes next, a flag acceptance commitee? This hopefully will die a death, the dicks in charge can’t be serious .
I heard Big And had been on the ale knocking round Allerton Road with Kev Nolan well before there was talk of Carroll to Liverpool (maybe when they were leathering the Championship). Imagine the scenes.
Also, Liverpool need to stop spending all kinds of £s on young centre backs forever starting from now. Save your Illori money for Sanchez or your Paletta money for Simao or whatever. Unless they end up being able to be our best left back for a while like Joe Gomez, to be fair. He’s almost annoyingly good for an 18yo.
This flags nonsense is everything wrong with LFC. What a disgrace. I hate hating them for stuff but they go out of their way to be pointlessly short sighted cunts. They won’t know what they had till they’ve hounded out the only thing worth writing home about about the ‘Anfield experience’ with their appalling attitudes (because god knows we don’t win fuck all out on the pitch).
You may work there ,but it ain’t your fuckin’ club. I think this debacle, represents society as a whole, constantly under surveilance, CCTV, internet, dumbed down with tricknology, GMO unhealthy food, illness, perscription drugs.
I like the Ultras in Italy, Argentina, theres no question whose club it is, would love the Kop to be like one of the Curva’s. Partisan and right on the edge, self policing.
No fuckin’ chance of an opposition or half n half being tolerated.
Genoa Ultras had the players begging for mercy and appologising after unacceptable performance, and made them take of the shirt or something. that should of happened over West Ham.
Dejan, and Brendan in there kegs, promising it won’t happen again.
The only thing Corporations understand is money, so can gain some power by boycotting all official merchandise, demos outside club shop, direct punters to HJC.
Surprised to be hearing how good West Hams midfield is in this podcast. They’d just come off the back of defeats to Leicester and Bournemouth.
They looked good because we made them look good. Something we do for a lot of clubs these days.
Regarding and loanees: I still don’t understand the amount players the club brings in. The last two seasons we’ve been in contention for the title, both were down the team being built around 3/4 top players. That’s all you need. 3/4 top players and build a team around them. It’s a falacy we require a 9/10 player in every postion. A team needs 4 top class players and the rest get their pick on how they bring the best out of them.
