Question: What exactly is Borini ‘sacrificing’ in order to play football, if he’s going out on loan to AC Milan and his full (high) LFC salary will end up in his account in its entirety?
Had Borini been offered a year-long-loan to e.g. Roma with his full, contractual pay at LFC in his account (irrespective of which club pays which parts thereof) he would, in all likelihood, accept it as well. Even if he didn’t, he’d still be entitled to full-pay till the last day of his contract, so long as he fulfilled his contractual obligations.
The same applies for Enrique and any other footballer (an employee) under contract with LFC (or any other club, i.e. an employer).
It’s called a contract. It is binding on both parties. It’s not really a complicated issue. If LFC (or any other club) want to “get rid” of a player under contract, they are free to offer the player the net present value of the stream of future payments due him based on that contract, including all loyalty bonuses. Hic Rhodus, hic Salta!
Moaning and whinging and character-assassinating and the rest of it is for the birds, and very, very small-time.
What exactly is **Balotelli** sacrificing . . .
